I admire Poe but Lovecraft has inspired me much more! It's too bad Lovecraft might have been a racist but I doubt it was to the point he was a Nazi or attended Klan meetings. (Unless there's something I don't know?)
I'm not much of a metal fan but this is AWESOME.You should definitely do more of these! Oh, and I think Poe was, overall, better in this one.
No, Lovecraft was not a Nazi. In fact he despised them. He was a racist though, that is undeniably but more accurately he was an anglophile. he basically thought people of anglic descent were better than anybody else. He did lessen this view in his later life but it was still a big part of his writing :)

That's too bad. Other than that I really like the guy. Or I should say I at least like his works.
I alos like his works. And truth be told, nowadays that view is a lot more radical than back then. we are talking a time here when black people were not allowed to vote or anything so everybody was racist back then anyway...
It's...not bad. The production values are the most impressive thing. You don't have any of the wild things the rap battles do, like giant Chuck Norris, but I applaud the effort. It LOOKS good.
However, there are a few problems. I could barely hear the singing. It's a good thing you put subtitles. The voice track needs to be louder and clearer. Even though I was reading the words, half the time it didn't match up with what I was hearing. If you are trying to mimic those attributes from actual metal songs, cause some bands do sound like that heh, I'd suggest not doing that. The battle of words should be in your face, not funneled into obscurity.
Also the writing....ehhhh, not the best. There were some good lines, for sure. It wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't all that funny or powerful or overly clever. That's what makes rap battles so popular, I was in tears laughing listening to the Hulk Hogan one for the first time. The things he was saying matched the Hulk's personality perfectly and they were hilarious. Plus he got the voice impression spot on. Perhaps you should consider doing more prominent figures like Metalica guy, hetfield? or... Alice Cooper. Someone with a unique voice to impersonate but with a link to Metal, since this is a metal showdown. At least something slightly hardcore instead of Edgar Allen Poe :/ But I can imagine character choices are limited to what your range is. Just please don't do Bugs Bunny vs Daffy Duck to a metal soundtrack haha
The cadence - is that the right word? The pace at which you break up the syllables to match the song - was a little odd. Sometimes you'd start a sentence at a certain pace, but then have pauses to stretch it out. Like you were forcing a tiny sentence into a long bar. Try and work on making the words better fit the song, if they don't, try a different song.
Maybe try putting your own spin on it, instead of outright copying everything from rap battles. Like the word epic. Ditch that. What about "Hardcore Metal Showdown"? I think epic is a stupid word that is way over used, but also some people won't like the fact that you copied and will say your just ripping off epic rap battle. Make it your own. Take inspiration from, don't copy.
Good effort, keep it up, and I'd watch the next one to see if you can improve.
