GAME SCREEN HAS SHIFTED.......HELP :)

Not sure when it happened but I have downloaded many games recently so not sure if it was a game program or my computer that is causing the problem.
When I open a game now, the screen or game window has shifted to the upper left corner of my computer. Meaning the right side and bottom of game is a black border and the top and left side of the game is missing half of the window or menu of the game.
I'm using Windows Vista.
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
Thank you.

Toggle fullscreen or try and resize your desktop while the game is open.
Do you mean that the image is shifted, but the window boundaries are the same? Or is it that the entire window is shifted, and you can't move it back to the middle?

Thanks for a quick response....
ALMOST ALL games are playable in the smaller window. I can move the smaller window all over the desk top and it's fine.
Once I toggle the game to full screen, the window shifts up and left leaving a black border on the right and bottom of the screen and the upper and left side of the screen is pushed off the desk top.
If the smaller screen is open I can click on the desk top and resize the icons with no trouble.
"Warrior Dee" is a game I recently downloaded and was made with RPG Maker 2000. Also "Ara Fell" is an older game. Both fill the screen and do not have a problem.
IT SEEMS that all the other games are newer and those are the ones with the problem.
So, edchuy and Link....who has the magic answer :)
I don't know much about computers and do have to mess with mine every so often to try and fix a problem and there may be the problem.
Sure hope one of you is a "wizard" :)

It's likely an issue with your video card drivers. I don't have an answer. Update drivers maybe, but that doesn't always work.
Another thing to consider is restoring the computer to a point before you started having the problem, which might undo whatever caused it.
This may be completely off base, still...have you gotten a new display for your computer? Like a new LCD screen, or a TV you are using as a display.
Sorry giaks, your right, off base :)
Nothing new except I seem to remember downloading a game, not sure if it was from RPG Maker, and had a problem with my computer so I braved Windows programs and tried to fix it myself....idiot...:)
I found someone who really knows computers.
Been sick last few days but will get him over here ASAP...
Thanks everyone for your attempt to help a non-nerd fix his computer :)
