THE SIMS 4

It's confirmed, guys. Maxis' new sequel to its cash-cow franchise, the Sims 4, is now in the works.
The graphics seem to be only a minor step up from the Sims 3, but the new create-a-sim features, as well as the build mode features seem to be REALLY impressive.
Watching this fills me with rage because I bought the Sims 3 starter pack only 3 weeks ago, and now this is announced. :(
What do you guys think? I don't see a lot of people talk about Maxis games on this site.
I'm a pretty big fan of the series. I tend to play the hands-off approach, creating the initial scenario and then observing how the AI agents carry out their will.
Maybe I'll do with this what I did with Animal Crossing, and play the newest one a billion years after having played the original, with nothing in between. That could be pretty fun.
I'm a huge fan of Sim City 3000, and play it even now, but I haven't touched the Sims or any other Sim game in ages. I remember having fun with it though.

I did play a lot of Sim City in my day and the Space Cadet Pinball included in Windows XP (damn you, Windows 7!). I also got the Sims, which ironically, my oldest sister got hooked on. I haven´t played any of the series since that version, but one thing I remember well is that you needed to take care of some physical needs, otherwise your Sim became cranky ...

That's pretty much how the Sims is right now, only with the Sims 3 you also work towards achieving a Sim's life goals. It's the most in-depth out of the series so far, so I wonder what the Sims 4 will bring to the table.
The sims was one of the few games were both my older sister and I mutually enjoyed in our younger days. Heck, she's highly anticipating the Sims 4 right now.
