but I think finding out the how's and when's of our killers'/killer's devices is a high priority.

Strange. I just thought killer killed at night, and there was no other complications? Then again, I'm town so I wouldn't know what killer's abilities do at all. Heck, I didn't even know there was only one killer til later on.

I disagree, it isn't a bad thing to keep a sharp eye on GM's already. The more you look, the more you'll see. But calling people scum day 1 us completely useless unless there are clear reasons.

Very true, but this is the basis of forum mafia. Fabricating evidence on anyone and everyone based on what you think by overthinking, and ending up lynching town every single time. I will count on this happening this game. Happens every time. Especially when CAVE_DOG is playing as town. Pretty horrible stuff, really.

However, can someone clear this up? Do we only have one vote, and it gets locked? I am confused by what people are saying. Because if they get locked, I guess I can't scare Cave with fake voting/revoting.

You're right, it's not hugely effective day1, but then again neither is scumhunting because we don't have any information about the killers motives or tactics either. Both are still worth a try in my opinion, though.

the difference is that scumhunting reveals not only legitimate reasons to lynch people (theorcrafting based on nothing does not) but also reveals patterns that can be used in later days (well person a. is obviously lynching for less than honest reasons)

unless you think dudesoft is going to slip up and name scum then yes it is entirely useless. also to your second sentence not at all but i'm not explaining this for the 10000000th time on these forums

you lack the ability to scare me in any situation. why can't you people read.

1. you only get one vote. you have to submit to anonymously to dudesoft
2. we'll find out how many kills the murderer can dish out when people start dying. this is the most obvious thing in the world and not worth worrying about
3. i believe tbg about not knowing there was only one killer so he's probably town. wouldn't vote for him.
4. let's kill jeroen
well, someone's eager to kill Jeroen

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

You still haven't explained why that was a bad post to make.

I thought it was weird he'd come up with situations like multiple individual killers or lovers out of the blue like that.

I'm not sure I buy benny's confusion, what with Dudesoft stating votes would be locked in the first post of this day.

I didn't read any of dudesoft's text either. it's a natural reaction

I know you never read GM posts, but that doesn't mean other people don't.

Then again, there would be no reason for him to fake confusion.

Actually, faking confusion takes suspicion away from him, meaning ermagerdheisscum

or you know

maybe you're overthinking things

You could also drop the tongue-in-cheek act and say something useful.

Yeah, the problem is, not much is going on yet and I honestly cannot think of anything that really actively contributes to finding the killer and winning the game. So I guess I'll just quiet down a bit until we get a good idea of who could be scum.

Sounds like the plan is set in stone, then. Vote this guy.

Who's the guy you're refering to now? Looking at your previous comments I am assuming it is Jeroen.

But just checking.

why does that mean I should be lynched

I didn't mean that I'm going to be useless for the rest of the game, I just meant I'm going to be useless for Day 1 and possibly Day 2.

I am now certain that you are not scum and are just town trying to play scum as hard as possible.

History repeats itself, doesn't it?

If you two want to lead an offence on benny, why don't you introduce some arguments yourself, instead of trying to squeeze it out of someone else? Wildwes is obviously not sure yet about his observation, so there isn't really a conclusion he has for you.

Personally, I would argue that there's plenty a reason to set up a confused and harmless persona. It could make people subconsciously view you as less of a 'threat', which could, in turn, lead them to be less likely to conclude that you're scum. If that's Benny's original intentions is still hard to tell at this point.

That wouldn't work on people you've played games with before though. I don't think appearing helpless has ever helped scum at all, really.
