Help downloading and playing Topic

Hey I'm new to downloading and playing the games made on rpg maker. What do I need to be able to play a game I've downloaded to my computer? Sorry if this has been discussed before or seems silly I just haven't been able to figure it out.

It depends on the version of the maker and how the creator packaged the game. You might need the RTP of the engine the game was made in. Or, in the case of SMBX, you need the engine to play the game. Some games are packaged such that you don't need anything else installed.

Hey thanks for the help I was able to figure it out. Where is a good place to download the RTP? I downloaded games that don't have that built in so I couldn't play some new games I downloaded.
