YOUR IDEAS FOR A LEGEND OF ZELDA GAME

i'm interested to see what other people might come up with. mine is
Legend of Zelda The Phantom King its about an evil phantom who wants to destory the world and he gets his partner jesticus to find the 8 Crystals so he can get access to the Nature Temple which is where the master sword is. one boss fight is where the enemy throws down cards and certain cards do certain things like some cards can summon fire or spit ice and some can bring out enemies and you damage him by shooting the card he is inside with the bow and arrow. yeah its weird zelda game idea.

so what would you come up with?

I wanted to make a Legend of Zelda game before that acts as a sequel to Link's Awakening, but simply couldn't find the resources (I wanted to keep to the original GB monochrome color scheme instead of the violent colors of its GBC counterpart). Here's a small taste of what I came up with.

The Wind Fish drifts into a deep slumber and the island of Koholint appears once more. Life continues on the island just as it always had, but some townsfolk have become aware of their existence being only but a dream. One of these townsfolk is the young girl who discovered Link the first time he shipwrecked on their island, Marin. She realized long ago that she desired to be with Link through the small time they shared together, but now understands that, should the Wind Fish wake again, she will cease to exist. Fearing that her love isn't meant to be, she seeks out the means to bring her dream to fruition. Suddenly, a dark figure appears beside her and speaks falsehoods disguised as a helping hand to what she seeks, instructing her that if she can bring the Instruments of the Sirens to it that it will bring Link to her and allow her to live a regular life without fear of disappearing.

Elsewhere in the world, Link and Zelda chase after Ganon who has recently wrought destruction upon most of Hyrule before escaping back into Death Mountain. As they near him in a valley, a portal opens up and they are drawn into it. Link appear mysteriously unscathed upon the shores of Koholint, but Zelda and Ganon are nowhere to be found. Link understands that the reappearance of this place means that the Wind Fish sleeps once again and that if he is to leave that he must wake it, though there are forces that work against him the likes of which he hasn't been faced with before.

What results is a tragic tale of love and deception, resulting in a clash between aspirations misunderstood that might bring an eternal shadow over the whole of the world.

I kind of started in a project in Zquest that I'm not continuing, but the story of it is a sequel to Link's awakening (but mine is different).

Not to long after the events of Link's Awakening, the hero winds up on an isle after being sent adrift at sea. He decides to rest in a cosey spot before attempting to continue towards his journey to wherever. Once he wakes up, however, he finds that he is on an island completely inhabited by monsters, and most things are attempting to kill him. Eventually, he finds out that the nightmares he defeated on Koholint are seeking revenge on the hero who slew them in the Wind Fish's dream, and they have imprisoned the hero in his own mind. Thus, the island is too a dream, but more of a nightmare in the sense that Link cannot escape from the island.

Also blah I'm terrible at explaining things.
Link goes to save Zelda in the first dungeon, but she slaps him and says she doesn't need his help and she runs off to do things on her own and kills the first boss. Then you proceed to do the dungeons but you find that they are already cleaned out, and when you reach Ganon you see Zelda deliver the final blow. And maybe, if there's time, you have a fight to the death. If you die, it's game over, and if you kill Zelda you end up in jail. The only way to get the correct ending is to create another option. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobayashi_Maru

I'm not a fan of the usual "bad guys wants to destroy world, so get a number of crystals equal to the number of dungeons". Cor's idea is interesting.
Just my two cents to the Topic Head Line.

I would like it, I don't care about the rest. <3
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Take a page out of Nintendo's book and just remake Link to the Past with different graphics again. It's been working pretty well for the last 10+ years.

You forgot to mention "Add 1 new hidden dungeon"

that reminds me they said they might remake twlight princess or something in the future -_- which sucks i want something different not a remake.
I personally don't think "remakes" are bad things. The Wind Waker HD, for example, let's us play something while we wait for the next big Zelda title. In my opinion, it's a good way to introduce new fans to older games.

Speaking of remakes, they need to hurry up and make Majora's Mask 3D/WiiU

In terms of ideas, how about remaking the CD-I games to be actually good?
Edit: Please go disappear, double posts. pls

you do have a point with the remakes. the cd-i remakes will probably never happen there so bad Nintendo acts as like they never existed.
Give Link a machine gun and have him take Zelda on a half modern/half me-devil romp shooting Dodongos and Oktoroks at every corner and have all the items be replaced by drugs and whatnot. Side-quests consist entirely of banging hookers and random hotel staff members.

That'd certainly give me a good laugh, that's for sure.

I wouldn’t mind if they decided to redo Zelda 2 with updated graphics and having the perspective switch from 2D to 3D depending on where you are and what you’re currently doing (hookshot, bow, etc..)

Actually, I’ve been thinking about Zelda 2 a lot as of lately...

But in my opinion, Shigeru is the only man who should be running the show; he’s done a good job.
