would a game released in December be eligible for the Misaos in, like, 2014?
No. Any games that were released prior before January 1st, 2014 cannot be eligible for any Misaos. I’m not sure about if a game had a demo release, say, in 2013 only to have the full version released the next year and can be voted for “Game Of The Year," I guess that’s the only exception to the rule, but I’m not 100% sure.

Welp, I can't exactly suggest my own games, now can I? ^^
I like to be honest with myself and try to stay away from voting for any of my stuff if it was eligible, but there’s no rule that you can’t vote for your own as long as it’s plausible.

Well, crap. I don't think I'd win game of the year or anything, but a shot at best storytelling would have been pretty sweet. I guess it's not the end of the year, yet, so who knows. Too, I really just want what everyone here wants: lots of people to play my game.

I think yuna21 was talking about The Lady of the Lion, a demo that she is developing. As for The Lady of the Lion and Sorceress Quest, can anyone else vouch for the quality of these games? They don't seem to have many downloads, and I've never played them, so it'd be nice to hear more about them.
I was going to suggest Ghost Shards as a possible alternative to best demo of the year. However, it's only got 66 downloads. That's three times larger than the download count on Sorceress Quest, but...
Already cast my votes, but I still can't believe how close we are to the end of the year already! Holy king of the seven hells, Batman! You folk just better not forget to get Heroes of Tsufana to the top, you hear?! Hahaha
Really though, I'm anxious to see what the results are going to be for this. Good luck to everyone and may the most deserved get the recognition they, well... deserve!

Does everyone have their nominations in? The count seems lower this year than past years... *checks* No wait, we're pretty much the same. (We are currently at 763, last year was 777 nominations). Carry on!
Can’t wait to see who won! Hopefully, it won’t be a complete sweep like the last three previous years; I want some variety this time!
Part of the purpose of this thread was to prevent people from voting on the only game they played. Hopefully this thread has opened people's minds. Then it will have achieved its purpose.
Thanks for all of your participation in this thread. I will make another one next year, judging by this thread's success.

Remind me how Pom's interface and sound and level designs and technical prowess are above almost all other games that have been made in the last year?
:/
New voting reforms are necessary.

Voting has started! And voting reform isn't happening. Nomination reform is a possibility, though! Not sure what is feasible...
It's like the eurovision song contest!
They reformed the voting by doing 50% public vote and 50% judging panel.

I did mean Nominations, actually. Just.. it was late. >.<;
But, yeah, some games don't really fit in the categories they've been nominated for, so we do need to kinda fix that a bit this year. ^.^;
Pom Gets Wi-Fi getting a lot of nominations this year. Even though I like that game, it better not sweep the Misaos due to its immense popularity. Tons of other games deserve it more.
Here's to the underdogs!

So you just finished voting in the Misaos. Got a feeling that you kinda wished there was a little more depth? Well, then, the Wisaos are ready and waiting for your input!
Pom in every category. The game isn't terrible, but its popularity is startling, and quite frankly pisses me off. These award nominations are an absolute joke.
+: I'm honestly really disappointed in all this. I had hoped I could at least get a nomination in atmosphere for Valerie's Letter, seeing as how I thought I did a very decent job in that aspect...at least I hope I did?
