How do you tell what order the party is after you used the order command?

You can't.

The solution right now (barring something maybe made in DynRPG) is to make your own custom ordering system and track it all manually in variables.

It really is. That limitation and the one where you can't detect what row a player is in can really limit how creative you can get with some systems in vanilla RM2k3
