CloseI've tried to share my comics here in the past, but it never blew over too well. At best, the things I posted were ignored, and for a while I couldn't figure out why. A few months ago, I was rereading one of my old stories, and I couldn't help but notice...it really sucked, and I had this moment of clarity where it was like "No WONDER nobody cared!"
But the reason I can tell they suck is because I've advanced myself to the point where I can spot the things that make those old comics so weak, and I'm able to produce better work as a result. It spurred me to start over from square one and retell all my old stories. It might sound counter-productive, but I got into this hobby for my own enjoyment, and I don't have fun reading my old work anymore. It just makes me cringe.
So I'm hoping I can try again to share my comics on RMN, and maybe find some readers here. A few of you already follow me on deviantArt, but it can be nice to get outside opinions on things, which brings me to the point of this thread. I'm preparing to share my comics in more places than just dA and RMN, but I need some feedback on an experiment first. I tried something a bit different with this page, and I'd be glad to hear any sort of criticism you can offer about it:

Don't get bummed about being ignored. There's nothing to comment on, and everyone is here for game making, not comic reading. Just post it for your self. Never bother worrying what other people think. :)

I'm not a comic person so maybe I wouldn't like it no matter what, but what instantly comes to mind for me is that I don't like the look of the characters. And the look of it in general. It's too crude. But that's a matter of opinion.
I took a quick look on your DA at an old image, something about people fighting on pokefloats with some magnemites. I can say that this new one looks better, that old "font" is unbearable. I would have guessed you made that in grade school.
I wouldn't say it sucks, but I would say it's uninteresting. And what seems like attempts at comedy, fall flat for me. This seems very niche, aimed at those who like pokemon and like fan made stories who don't care about quality art. That might only apply to your old stuff, but really I have no interest in following any comics. I see nothing that would change my mind. It's likely that others feel the same way too and that's why it's ignored here. Especially with so many other things one could be doing. This isn't a pokemon fan site.
Are you going to continue to do pokemon battles? I would guess that a majority of people have no interest in pokemon at all, especially not a random pokecomic. If you want a wider audience, I suggest writing about something else.

Posting it for myself is more or less what dA is for. If I did that here with no comments in between, it'd just be an absurdly long string of double-posts. If there's truly nothing to comment on, then there's no reason to share it here at all. Which makes sense, I guess, since everyone is indeed here for game making.
@Link: You're right, they are really crude, and I can see why that'd turn some people away. The 'font' in the older comics isn't a font at all. It's my own handwriting, which is just legible enough to be tolerable (not passable). My humor also tends to be very dry, so that won't work for everyone either.
Pokemon is just one of my series that will be getting redone at some point. My writing tends to be about video games in general, which is why I thought some people here might be interested. Still, like Dudesoft said, most everyone's only in it for game design. I'm branching out to see where I can find my audience, but I guess it's unlikely to be here.
