MULTIPLE ANIMATIONS?

??? Is there a way to show multiple battle animations at the same time outside of combat?I've tried to do this and on every occasion either the battle animations don't move, or only one of them show up at a time. Is there perhaps a limit to the number of variables that can exist in each individual map or something? This is really bugging me, and I can't get it out of my head.
What program is this for? I'm going to guess this is RM2K3.

I can't think of a occasion where I needed to have more than one at a time. I think maybe you have the Halt Other Processes ticked. You might also have them both set to the same event. e.g Hero. So it might not work correctly.

OK. I just tried it on RM2K3 and nope I can't get it to work properly either. I messed around with it for a bit but I can't seem to get more than one to appear at exactly the same time as the other. Sorry.
Well, you guessed correctly with the RM2K3...
Unfortunate that I'll have to use option B to solve the problem, but at least I know it isn't just me.

For those who are curious, Option B is to create multiple events which allow event overlapping, and mimic the battle animations. It's very bothersome to set, and even more bothersome since it requires lots of images to be imported, which is why I was hoping for an alternative.
I could be wrong, but I don't believe RM2k3 allows simultaneous playback of multiple animations, even if they are the same animation. No amount of eventing can change this, but like you said, you can rig an event to load/show pictures to mimic the animation. If you don't want to load a bunch of images, and you can understand the math, you can turn your animations into character sets which will allow you to put as many as you want in.
You can't have multiple animations at once in RM2K3. Simple as that.
What I do is just compile all the animations I want to use into a single animation sheet. Most of the time, the animation you're using isn't using every single frame in the template, so you can just add the ones you want in using photoshop.
Pictures work as well, so there's tons of workarounds.
As a side note, RMVX allows many animations to be played at once. Just an incentive for those who don't know about that.

Yes, but unlike rm2k3, rpgmakerVX cannot repeat the same animation without a tiny visual blip at the end/beginning like rm2k3 can.

I love that avatar, Karsu.
You can only have up to 2 animations at the same time. (During battle in the dbs only though.) Outside the dbs... yeah I think you're screwed. Gotta love the limitations in Rm2k3.

You'll hate me for this, but it's totally fixable w/ scripting. =)

As for my avatar? I need a new sketch topic. =)

So make me the code for it :P
Too bad thought. It would be nice if rm2k3 had multiple animations, solve a lot of headaches. :P
