Hello all, I need to ask about a couple of scripts. First off I need something where I call up the script, a window to select a member of your party. This is to teach an actor a new skill TYPE. (Special, Magic ECT
Also I wondered if there were any scripts ou there that allowed the player to create their own class.
Regards, Me.

It would really help to know which engine you're using. Plus, this site also has an expansive list of sctipts for XP, VX and VX Ace. Also you can try a google search, that always helps me find what I can't find here. There's a bunch of places you can find scripts for all the engines, here's a few examples I found on a few google searches for RPG Maker Scripts.

Some of those sites have scripts for multiple engines. Just a friendly bit of advice for you. Try next time to do a little bit more searching for yourself before asking for help. I don't personaly mind, but there are some people who will see it as being lazy and not want to go through the trouble of looking for you when it appears you didn't look at all. Same applies in general for any help topic really, always try for yourself first.
Why don't you spend some time playing around with the engine? Or maybe watch or read tutorials, if you have to.
Switches and Variables, my friend. Observe them, learn them, love them.
In the RPG Makers (btw, I second that it would be really nice to know what engine you're using), you already have built in classes. Expand your arrays, come up with your own classes and define them your own way. As for letting the player create their own classes, I use this information, expand upon it and learn all about those switches and variables. Without knowing whether or not you're even using RPG Maker, there's nothing more anyone can tell you. I think I've seen in RM2k3, there are class making tutorials.

BTW definitely look and study the refined eventing in rm2k3/2k era games.
Really.
It'll show you that basically anything is possible given enough thought.

right, I'm using RPG maker VXAce. Thanks for the help, I guess I'll just have to use switches and variables.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

A script that "allows the player to create a new class" has so many thousands of different things you could put in it and ways you could do it that the chance of one existing that works like you want is approximately 0%.
Showing a list of people in the party is, uh, pretty easy without any script, you just... sort of... use a dialogue choice. If you want it to look prettier than that you can show four pictures on the screen, and then show a cursor on the first one, and then use a conditional branch to move the cursor to the next one when the player presses the up or down arrows. (This could also be scripted but it doesn't sound like you're quite ready to script something like that yourself.)

I'm just going to skip the class creator and just use a selector. Thank you for everyones help. There was a very nice script for selecting an actor's potriat for my other request.

Is there something wrong with onewingedangel666 having a script that allows players to choose a character's portrait?

Oh I actually meant you could select an ctor from your party. The window that lets you pick them has their potraits on it.
