[VX ACE] NON-LETHAL POISON DAMAGE?

Is there a way in VX Ace to make the poison status effect non-lethal? As in, if you're almost out of HP and the poison damage kicks in but doesn't allow their HP to fall below 1?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :D Thanks!
Under "options" in the system tab of the database, there's a box for "K.O. by slip damage." Leaving that unchecked won't allow people to die from poison (I don't know if you can override that on a case-by-case basis though).

Oh, wow, I totally missed that! Thanks a lot, Housekeeping! ^_^

I don't need it on a case by case basis. I was going to introduce a stronger version of poison and I didn't want it to instantly kill low characters. Also there's a bug that this helps me fix. This is great :D

That makes two of us! I thought it was a property of the status itself. So when I didn't find it under that tab, I started thinking up some weird work-around.
