IS THERE A WAY TO REORDER THE "ITEM DATABASE"?

Hello, new here, new to RPG Maker VX Ace too... my question may be simple I dont know....

I have a bunch of custom items but i would like to reorder them without having to remake the list... I also would like to easily be able to reorder them in the future as needed...

Example: Is there a way I can move "009:Life Up" to become "001:Life Up" but automatically move everything else down a number? so then "001:Potion" would become "002:Potion", etc.
Thanks!
There's the ability to multicopy and multipaste items in the database, which lets you copy a number (your choice) of items and paste them too. Just right-mouse click on the first one you want to start from, then choose Multi-Copy and pick how many you want to copy. Pasting is as easy as going to the spot you want them at and CTRL+V. Just make sure you have enough space to move them or when it hits the bottom of the list it'll cut off.

You can also copy/paste (CTRL C/CTRL V) each item separately if you like, too.

What I recommend you do when you start making items is leave blanks for what you think you'll need. So something like this:

Even if there's lots of blank spaces, it's easier to shorten a list than re-juggle it later.
Ahh! I see hmm. I guess this will still mess up all existing references I have in place wouldn't it. I'll definitely take the "leaving space" idea into mind with future creating. Thanks much!
Yeah, I forgot to mention that you will have to go back and edit all events that gave items in the past, so... >.<;

(It took a few games for me to learn that leaving space is a good idea. A lot more games than I'm comfortable admitting, actually. XD )
I saw someone complaining about the lack of sortability and filters on the Steam forum. Even the dev said they'd like to have it... but they are powerless to make it happen.
