Enemy Units don't attack the main character in SRPG95 HELP Topic

ok so im making a game in SRPG 95 value which is a updated version of sim rpg 95, but i have certen enemy units that during game play they refuse to fight they just follow the character around, BUT i have it set for them to attack, so PLEASE HELP

I'd bet their attack is too low to damage the character they're following so they never attack. iirc the damage formula is ATK - DEF so if their ATK is equal to or less than your hero's defense they'll never take any offensive action.

ok so i got to make there atk high but it doesent show me the characters def so ow can i see def
