WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING?
Posts
Yup, pretty much entirely stole this idea from the thread "What's at the Cinema" or whatever it was called.
So, tell us what games you are currently playing, or just recently played. Try to type about the game, if only a little.
Crackdown (Xbox 360):
I love this game! It's like GTA, but with much more mayhem. Personally, I like to think of my character as the black chuck norris (my strength is full, so my roundhouse kicks rock people). Unfortunately, I found it to be INCREDIBLY short. It took me 2 days to complete, and all but my driving skills are maxed.
I found that strength was the easiest to max out, next came explosives.
Anyways, if you haven't played it, I reccommend giving it a rent, it provides good quality fun.

Crackdown is one of the funnest games on the 360. I love the jumping, blowing shit up then just jumping from building to building.. I miss that game. :'(
Grand Theft Auto IV(Playstation 3) - Just basically mucking around and finishing the story again.

I have been bouncing in between games a lot recently.
Still towards the end of Mass Effect for the Xbox 360. Like all other Bioware style console RPGs, it's great. I really like molding my own character. However, it's taking me longer to finish because I lost a great deal of interest while doing all the obligatory sidequests. They obviously spent no time making them interesting. The actual plot, however, is awesome.
On my PSP I am going back and forth between Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. The FFT port is pretty great than some minor slowdown, and the new translation and added characters are great. However, I am near the end and the newly added JP grind is terrible. Crisis Core is terribly yet I feel compelled to play it since I liked FFVII when it came out and also because I paid $39.99 for it.
I've also starting playing The Lord of the Rings Online again on the PC. I am a founder member and have a lifetime subscription, but I hadn't played it in nearly a year. I'm really liking all the changes they have made since them, both the subtle and the not-so-subtle.
Crackdown is a pretty awesome game. I bought it when it came out. Yeah, it's pretty short, but it also has some decent DLC. Also, try finding all the orbs. It, like any other sandbox game, is not about what the game tells you to do, but what you find out you can do with it. I've seen some pretty awesome explosions and car pileups on Youtube for it.. We should play it online sometime - Gredlen and I had a few good nights with that.

Rock Band still. I keep getting awesome new songs (like the Pixies!).
I can't find a copy of Dragon Quest VIII in my city (wtf, eh?), BUT I did get Mario Kart Wii and Final Fantasy XII for my birthday. Just played Mario Kart once, it was fun. Have to pop in FFXII tonight.
I am also playing Peggle.

Wild ARMs 1 (PS1): Another "RPG to Beat" on my long list of well, RPGs to Beat.
Ratchet and Clank (PS2): A series I always wanted to give a whirl when it first debuted, but never got around to it. I'm really happy I finally got a chance to play it, and I must say it's awesome.
MGS4 (PS3): 'Nuff said.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Xbpx360)
I've played through just about every quest in this at some point or another, so I'm going through it again with a different character. Usually I play a stealthy character, now I'm playing a mage with no weapon skills. Also trying highest difficulty instead of default for a challenge. Definately harder.

I just bought this for my PSP via the US PSN store. I never played any of the Wild ARMS games before. We'll see how it goes!
Final Fantasy 6 Adv (GBA) - Thouroughly enjoying it, FF6 is my favorite in the series and to be able to play another remake (After anthology) just makes it that much better. Not too far, just finishing up Mountain Kolts.
Final Fantasy 1: DoS (GBA) - Actually just started this one up, never played it before. Hope it's good. (They're already throwing groups of five enemies at me!)
Metroid (NES) - This game is damn near impossible, but I'm trying my best. I'm on Kraid's level.
Super Metroid (SNES) - I'm so good at this game I've literaly beaten Ridley with my eyes closed. But I love it enough to race through it once a month. I can beat it in a few hours.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: I can't really get into this, the gameplay is really good though. I've been playing it on and off. I really do enjoy the music though, it's fantastic.
Wild Arms 5: I'm at the end of the game, but I'm just trying to get all of the secrets. This game hooked me more than most PS2 RPGs. I really couldn't get into Persona or Dragon Quest VIII(I will get back to this one), but this game really draws me in. I never liked WA2 or 3, so this one might be my favorite.
Mass Effect: I stopped playing for a bit, but I am definitely getting back to this. I thought the sidequests in the game were actually decent, for the amount there are. Some are pretty tedious. This game is still incredible though.

This is the only game I've been playing along with playing some games on RMN. Clocked in over 30 hours so far and while the story kind of sucks I'm loving the job system and the whole feel of the game.
Spoiler:
Vaan makes an appearance later on which if you've played FFXII: RW on the DS you'll be grinning probably (I did :P).
Persona 3: FES
I loved the original, i can't wait to see all the extras

@NN: I think I may buy a copy.
Recently I've been playing Pokemon: Leaf Green, Ruby, and Gold.
I know it may be sad that a 19 year old till enjoys running in circles in an attempt to catch animals, as well as abuse creatures with Taser Imbued Abilities, but its been at most 6 or so years since I have replayed any of the originals, so why not. :)
Also Lost Odyssey

Burnout: Revenge came a few years ago. I'm not a huge fan of racing games, but this one is so ridiculously fast paced, and rather fun to play, I let it slide. It's not lasting entertainment, but it's definitely a blast whenever I do play it.
I still wish my Gold version still worked. Or even my Crystal; I'd kill to find one that would actually keep my save.
Was playing KH2. Not really playing anything in particular right now, except getting a little Pokémon Diamond in every once in a while. Though, come Tuesday, FFIVDS will dominate my life.

Oh my god I am playing
FINAL FANTASY IV DS.
Right now.
Edit: I am surprised. This voice acting is very good and the graphics are great.
