DEVELOPER TEAM FOR NEW GAME

Hi RMN community!

I'm new here, but I've been into RPGMaker since 2002. I would like to develop some ideas, but in the real life excelent games usually need a developer team.

Maybe you think it's possible to do a team. Maybe you excel at a specific ability (like music composing or graphic design). If so, why don't you give it a shoot?

I also admit that I'm stuck with 2003 (because of side battles and low Ruby skills to date) but I know new engines are awesome and help about this would be appreciated!

If you like this reply so that we can develop something together.

Wanting to be in a team is all well and good, but, what kinds of skills can you bring to the table? Exemplifying those skills would be great too.
Wow Marrend, thank you very much. Absolutely forgot that and it is a really important question.

I'm most capable in the following:
- Storytelling, plot buliding and plot coherency (I've wrote some books so far, you can see here http://procredes.blogspot.com/ )
- System building, like how a magic system would work to be balanced and not overrating some X or Y element. I like fair stuff.
- Programing: I've got difficulties learning Ruby, but I know how programation works (C++, Matlab, VBA) so I'll be ready to learn, to understand, and try to find a solution when programming problems arise.
- Graphic design: I don't like rips. My work may not be the finest, and I get some things better done than others, but its homemade. Some examples are here (and also in the blog).

I also have weaknesses:
- No Ruby knowledge.
- Poor original music finding/composing/editing skills.
- No tons of time.
- Not a perfect native-like english.

I would like to apologize if the first message sound like "you-do-it-I-watch" invitation. That's not the idea but to work together.

Here the examples (comments about them are welcome too):
Some Battle Charsets or Battle animations (can be both)

Alright, first off, do you have an idea for a project and are you recruiting for that idea because this is going to dictate how the rest of this topic falls out.

If you are recruiting for a game that you already have an idea for you will need to present those ideas in such a way as to catch the attention of people who you'd like to work with you. You will also have to detail what you need - a scripter with skills in x, y and z or a musician who does x genre of music or an artist who can draw in x style. You will also have to detail what you need from them - if it's a full-job then say as much - "I'll need someone do make a set of faces" is different to "I'll need someone who can map and create tiles" OR "I'd like someone who can do all the maps and tiles and hud graphics and sprites"

You'll also have to provide some proof to them that you are worth working for - do you have a completed game? Do you have something to show what you can do with RM and whether you can event well or not?

Are you offering monetary reward for this endeavour?

Of course, if this is more a 'let's team up and make a game' topic, then carry on. Or perhaps wait until one of the events pops up and then propose a team up of some kind (there may be something event-wise soon...maybe). Or start a small project then recruit people after you put out a demo so they can see what you're aiming for.
Or propose a chain-game type deal. Or, hey, get in on the one that's already happening~

Which one is already happening? Is that Radiant Chain?
