I'm not talking about your favourite games, but what are the games that you wish you could play again for the first time. That is, without knowing anything about it beforehand?

For me it would be the Walking Dead series, season 1. It was a very emotional ride the first time round, but when I tried playing it again, it just wasn't the same as the first time. I already knew how the story ended, so I didn't feel as much emotional connection. It's like watching a movie for the second time now that you know the twist.

What's your game/s you'd like to see again with fresh eyes?
Definitely Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch for PS3. My GOD, I absolutely LOVED that game to the moon and back! It was such a magical experience, and felt like playing through a fairy tale. The graphical style of the game gave it such amazing charm that it grabbed me and never let go until the end credits started to role. Then again, what else is to be expected of Studio Ghibli?

Super Mario 3D World, Pokemon White, Banjo Tooie, Final Fantasy V, and Pikmin 2.

Can't forget the mother of them all, Paper Mario.

The Last of Us: feels, feels feels.
Resident Evil REmake. I played the original Resident Evil, and this remake still scared the living crap out of me. Now that I've beaten it 27 times (Seriously, that is not an exaggeration!) I wish I could go through it again for the first time.

Shadow of the Colossus: Feels feels feels.
Phantasy Star 4. The game that got me into RPGs in the first place.
Interesting thread. There are way too many I'd love to play again for the first time. In fact, I'll have to relive that through my children's eyes once they learn to play games:

NES - Final Fantasy, hands down. I went into that with no understanding of what an rpg meant, and it quickly became my favorite genre of all.

SNES - Illusions of Gaia, most likely. That game had all sorts of twists.

PS1 - Wild Arms. It was the first game I played to include an anime intro and 3D battles.

RPG Maker - Eden Legacy. It was the first RPG Maker game I played, very well balanced and fun, even if the resources clashed.
Silent Hill 1-4. Horror games don't really have the same effect on you on the 2nd playthrough.

I second this.

Maybe Demon's Souls too. It was such a revelation when i realized with my first death what kinda old-school action RPG i got in my hands.
My, my, that would certainly be... Final Fantasy X.
That damn game made me cry so many times, made me feel all sorts of different emotions, made me dream, made me wonder... It made me happy. Now I don't get the same feeling as back then when I was 11 or 12, I remember the scene when
the party revealed to Tidus the truth about Yuna's Pilgrimage
and AAAAAARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Kinda off topic, but Madoka is an anime I'd love to watch again with fresh eyes
I feel that way about the Death Note anime T.T

For games...probably just Zelda games. Most games that I feel like playing again and again are arcade'y like PSO or Gears of War 3 Horde mode. Everything else I'd rather not spend time playing again. Although if you asked me that question 10 years ago the answer would be different.

Not a game, but fits into the "first time" topic.

The year is 1985. I'm only 7 years old. My parents went away for a couple weeks in the summer to spend time with relatives, and I got to stay with my best friend and his family. One weekend, they decided to go see a movie and piled us into the car. It was on this day that I first got to travel back in time with 'Back to the Future', one of my all time favorite movies even today.

It was also my earliest memory of milk duds. I hated trying to chew those things, but oh lord, they tasted so great!

Man, I wish movies had that same effect now they did then, when going to the movie theater was a big event.
