I AM THE RAWK

Oh hi. I am just some guy who has long wanted to make an RPG but has long been held back by the sheer idea of the work of making something I wanted to play. But I am bored and I do want to try again, so here I am. I like to think of myself as a writer and I have some ideas for RPG stories which I think are good (but I'm biased). I also have a weird desire to make a Naruto fangame but IDK about that.
At the moment, I only have VX Ace Lite, since I haven't devoted myself enough to spend money on my wish yet. Just figured I would sign up and at least try. Sorry for the weird posture of my post.

Make a Naruto fangame. Make it fun and silly. I might play it. Or not. I think it'd get a lot of downloads though if you did. People lap that crap up.
Anyway, welcome to the site! Hope you enjoy. And try not to be scared by the crazy community. We're really good people. Mostly.

And here I was hoping your avatar would be Rawk Hawk.
Yeah, I'd probably get a TON more views if I made a mediocre Naruto game than a mediocre original game. Brand recognition and all that.
And sadly, I am not the RAWK HAWK. I'm more of a peanut. Don't ask.
but yeah, I would like to at least try the Naruto RPG... maybe I'll just buy XP. It's a lot cheaper, and I like the graphics more.

Yes you would get a ton more views. But would you really enjoy the views of 12 year olds lapping up anything Naruto related? If you think of yourself as a writer, do something original, there are plenty of crappy Naruto fangames already.
If you do, I'll welcome you with open arms. Otherwise, I guess I'll give a halfhearted wave, or something.

@Yellow Magic - Just about to do this, was disappointed it took that long :D
Welcome to RMN! Naruto fan game? Never seen the show so you know, go for it. Could be the game that you get enough experience with the program through. Then once it's done just take all you know and come up with something original to work on.

Yeah, making a Naruto thing would probably not be best. I dunno. I did buy XP on a whim earlier, so I might as well try and make one of my games from earlier. It shouldn't be too hard to reduce it's scale and make it short enough for people to complete easily and finally get off my lazy ass and do something.
So, uh, yeah. I'll try and do that.

So Mr. Sauron the real question for you is whether you have what it takes to sell the Stone Cold Stunner?

I have absolutely no clue what you- oh, wrestling. Eh, long story about my name. Actually has nothing to do with Lord of the Rings, was a story my brother and I were writing when we were in elementary school.
anyway, I did toy around in RPG Maker XP 8 years ago when I was 12 trying to make one of my old stories, which I now realize was nowhere near as good as I thought it was. So yeah, I remember the basics of how to use the program. And Theme1 is as awesome as I remember.
