UPLOADING A GAME

Sorry in advanced if this the wrong section, but how exactly do you upload a game for others to play WITHOUT including the file where you actually build the game itself?
First you need to sumbit game (under submissions at the top.) You need 500 words and 3 screen shots.
You can't add a download or a link to your game until the game page is accepted.
So you shouldn't worry about this until your game page is accepted.
When your selection an engine, if it doesn't fall under one, you can choose other.
If you're using Ace, use the Compress Game Data option under File. This will create a game file where the information is 'locked'. There are ways to go around it but there's always going to be ways to get around any such protection if someone is determined enough to do so. I mean, look at all the commercial games who spend tons of money trying to beat the pirates, but still don't. If spending all that money can't stop someone getting into your game, then really, there's not much that can be done to really stop them. All you can really do is throw up a few roadblocks and hope they're either not intelligent enough to find the right keys or too lazy/don't care to try.
Other than that, follow Kory's advice on uploading games to RMN.
