HARRISON FORD...SERIOUSLY

Seriously! It was remake of the Wrath of Kahn...literally ass-backwards!Then Kahn's magic blood brings Kirk back from the dead.
I haven't even watched the original Star Trek series or any of the old movies, so I can't judge from a fan's perspective, but judging from the perspective of film, it was an exciting movie with visual spectacle that kept my eyes peeled from start to finish. It didn't step it up from the reboot Star Trek, so it felt like, "been-there-done-that" but Cumberbatch was fantastic in it, and it had cool stuff crashing into other cool stuff, which I must admit I'm a sucker for. You could do a lot worse with a reboot of an old series than what happened here. A lot worse.
Like Blade Runner 2 worse. Have you seen Ridley Scott's The Counselor that he released this year? Even when he's given an award-winning novelist to be screenwriter for his much-hyped film, he manages to botch it up entirely with a total lack of suspense and thrills... in a thriller. Maybe I'm just a big fan of Blade Runner because it's #16 on my list of top films and I don't want to see it destroyed, but I was hoping that if Ridley Scott would want to sequel up his old classic, then he'd do it when he's not on a losing streak. It's uncanny, and that's speaking from a person who loves film and wants to see hyped things like this succeed to their biggest potential. I'm a dreamer, what can I say?

First it was Indiana's Bones and the Prostate of Doom--er--sorry, I mean, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Then he's getting a leading role in the upcoming Star Wars VII, while Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher hang back in "important, but much smaller" roles. Now he's also going to be reprising his role as Rick Deckard in a sequel to Blade Runner.
These people do know this man is 71, right?
Ford is vastly superior than any possible option for any of those roles, even at 71.

Door to Nothingness? Platinum Angle is too easy Kory!
[
Well, first we need to deal with that Isochron Scepter because that thing's gonna be a pain in the ass.

Then, for Angel's Grace I'll once more cast...
So, it looks like Door to Nothingness is still on the table. And for good measure, (thank's for the idea but Platinum Angel is only the weakest of the breed)...

@pianotm That last card says, "The opponent's cant win the game."
The cant (hypocritical talk), which is spoken by the opponent, wins the game. So you've actually made kory_toombs win, even if you can't lose.

I don't think Cashmere knows what he's talking about here (Though I'm not sure what exactly he's referring to.) But if Door to Nothingness doesn't work or loses its target the game continues on. I actually also considered giving myself shroud. But Angel's Grace is much more powerful. And no one can win other than the controller of that effect... So in the situation of a multiplayer game where one person would win by defeating over three players he can't win... But other players other than you can lose. So in multiplayer the door to nothingness could make someone else lose, but the player couldn't use an effect such as laboratory maniac to win the game.
Piantom, did you counterspell my Angle's Grace? I'm not too sure. Maybe you should have a good look at Angle's Grace. Split Second is a pretty good ability here. I think you were just outsmarted by the Dragon.
The appropriate response would have been to do this when I used scepter:
How about you stay within the U/B/R color palette as suggested by your avatar, kory. It's more challenging that way.
Though, if pianotm has a Darksteel Angel, popped Door to Nothingness, and Kory cast Angel's Grace in response to that, ain't nobody loosing this game this turn. Unless kory brings out a good old fashioned Sudden Spoiling, and... uh... I dunno. Exsanguinate? That's a pretty lame way to win, though.
*Edit: I'm pretty sure the Trickbind should have been your response to Door to Nothingness, kory. Just sayin'.

He didn't seem to be limiting himself to any colour scheme. Also my strategy involving Agle's Grace in non EDH doesn't require any white mana at all.
I think if we were to make this fair he would have to be limited to 3 colours like I was. But in the end he didn't understand the power of Split Second.
Edit:
I don't think he played that Platinum Angel (Which you referred to as a Darksteel Angel?) He was making a comment on something I mentioned above. Or did he just rip off my idea and somehow play Platinum Angel. He also played Counterspell twice. Should have a rule of only playing the same spell once.
Edit Edit: Ohhh.... He did use Darksteel Angel (A card that apparently doesn't even exist.) And Marrend you didn't even notice that!
If more people were into mtg maybe I could start some sort of forum game based off this.
I submit that the art on Darksteel Angel looked oddly familiar (Hi, Platinum Angel!), so that might have been why I didn't notice that it wasn't actually a card. I certainly wasn't looking at the expansion symbol!
Er... sorry for the de-rail folks! Continue with the actual topic now!

I was pointing out the fact that there's a spelling error on pianotm's card he played that makes the opponent win. I only have a bare notion of the rules, but I'm fairly sure that card he played was the losing card. Call me out if I'm wrong.
Yes, I think you got me, Kory. Also, I missed the fact that Darksteel Angel was a MTG Online fan creation. (Note: triangle symbols are online cards only created by fans in the MTG Online card generator. Since I don't play MTG Online, I don't always notice this).
Also, unless I'm very much mistaken, Core rules allow you to have three of a single card in a deck. So yes, Counterspell twice is allowed and I was counterspelling your casting Angel's Grace. Finally, I play 60 card White and Red decks and I play 100 card white red and blue decks. I also have a thing for angels so expect them when I play.
Oh well, it's more fun without the mega-powered cards anyway.

His card is a fake. The real card is:
He may have used an online generator to create that card, but the card doesn't exist on Magic Online.
You may have 4 copies of any one card in a Vintage Constructed deck (some exceptions apply.)

Okay, I remember it was four in the early Core rules. I've only started playing sealed tournaments again recently. I had always assumed 4th ed. rules since that's what I know best, but why are there people claiming that only three are allowed since 8th ed.?
Are those people playing Yu-Gi-Oh!? Yu-Gi-Oh limits the card count to 3 (With some exceptions.)
Relentless Rats, Shadowborn Apostle, Basic Lands, and Snow Basic Lands have no limit in any format (Including Commander.)
I'd argue that you won't have actually used the first Counterspell, since kory tapped Boseiju, Who Shelters All as part of Paradigm Shift's cost. Nor would you have used Counterspell on Angel's Grace, because of Split Second. YOU STILL HAVE A COUNTERSPELL!
If that helps at all.
If that helps at all.
I think you guys should create a thread for this, since it seems really interesting, even to someone who doesn't know how to play. :)

I second that, mainly cause this was supposed to
be a thread about Harrison Ford.
Yeah this sort of got out of hand on a thread that nothing to do with mtg.
But I couldn't let that "Conterspell" go unanswered. I hate "Counterspell" with a passion. I created a Classic legal deck just based on cards that coundn't be countered just to deal with people who did this.

Of course you hate Counterspell. It messes up your well laid plans. That's what it's supposed to do. Let's start a proper game. No counterspells. I'll play all white. Waiting for you in Welp.
