FIDCHELL WILL STREAM YOUR GAMES!

It says it's moved to your playlist but I don't know if it's really there...?
Stream over! I couldn't finish Panzer because of a horrible difficulty spike. I trained for an amount of time, but I still couldn't survive the stupid overpowered party-spanning ability.

Lady of the Lion was alright. It doesn't do enough to set it apart from other games, but it has potential.

You can all view the playthroughs on my Twitch account.

Just added it.

I'd be forever in your debt if you had a look at Iris. It's less than an hour long and doesn't require much grinding.

Sorry to bump the topic. I haven't been able to do a stream for a couple weeks, but I'll be getting back to it. I've changed the usual stream time to 10 am as well. Today I'll be playing Konae's Investigations and Touhou Fantasy.

Does anyone actually mind if I continue to bump the topic before I start a streaming session?

Oh man, Chapter 2 is a huge mess! I'm hoping Chapter 1 will be at least "okay", though.

The game didn't turn out to be very interesting, sadly. It could definitely use a lot more custom content here and there, but what I played was awfully mediocre...
I'm wondering what you would think of Whisper, given what I've read here. It's not a demo, but, I'm all up for nitpicking.

Genre is RPG, though making sure grinding was not necessary was a design goal from the start.
Ah! I didn't realize you were going to stream the game yet! I do have a recent update patch that fixes some things here and there, but don't know if you want that now or not (or if you have even started streaming at all!) @_@;;

EDIT - Nevermind, watching stream archives now. Just my commentary on that:

*I really need to lock out the debug room whenever I do these patches, or specifically say that it's the debug room and not ????. Don't know why I left it as such. >____>;;
*Aye, that snow forest is bad. I need to find a way to fix that on the tileset...not sure how though, or where.
*Oh look...an error in the Kourindou event. Of course there'd be...I seem to miss some things here and there whenever I revamp stuff. *Sigh* And yeah, several areas got revamped (moreso since the update patch, if you didn't get the most recent one). They just...needed it severely is all heh...
*Speaking of the intro, I'm starting to think I should shorten it or something...it is about a 15-20 minute long intro but...ehhhh...
*As for the Myouren Temple section, music got changed now, and maps have been significantly changed (in fact, I changed them finally last night, since it's the next dungeon I'm going to work on). Though seems like there's an error with the emoticon...blah.
*Yeah...some attacks just don't have animations yet, and some of them didn't work yet (just never got around to them. This tells me that you didn't get the most recent patch since all of Nazrin's skills now do stuff. Or was it all of Shou's and some of Nazrin's?).
*Ah...status sprites aren't fully implemented yet either. I just haven't had the time to go around mucking with icons and the like sadly. >_<
*Seems I goofed up with the eventing with Reimu and Marisa too near the end. Blaaah...
*Yeah...the Human Village needs updated badly, but I haven't gotten around to fixing that yet. The Southern Human Village has two ways of entering, if you enter from the north, you start at the top of the village. If you enter from the south, you start from the bottom of the village. The Item shop was at the bottom left of the Southern Human Village (where there apparently was no path to it...oops...). Overall, I still need to fix up the area badly regardless.
*Wow...talk about bad luck with the pincers and back attacks o_O
*Yeah...sometimes I need to make things a bit more clearer. >_<
*Again...another thing I forgot to remove. Darn emoticons...
*One thing the game tries to enforce is paying attention to the surroundings a bit too. The part where you're trying to figure out how to get across the screen where Daiyousei was was designed in such a way that you had to pay attention to the water lining. Part of the water that wasn't dark was walkable.

That is all really. Kinda like how you have to pay attention to the rocks and their formation to realize you could go across them, since they're situated in such a way for that. It's the same for hidden passages (in which one must be crossed to continue through the game, as you know from Eientei since you did that dungeon). Probably didn't help that you didn't find the Item Shop which is crucial to not dying. ^^;;

So yeah, will probably make signs that lead to the village and lake, and will revamp the Human Village soon.
Hi Fidchell! I'd love for you to play my game and to hear what you think of it: The Vendor.

It was made for the IGMC, but it's polished and thoroughly tested. I know that might sound a bit weird when I mention it, but a few people I've talked to have come to expect bugs due to the deadline, and I understand that it can hinder motivation to give contest games a try for some people.

I'd actually prefer it, so I know when there's about to be new material to watch :D

A few responses:

I wasn't too keen on there being consequences for failing the lock-picking mini-game. Obviously, with the first door, well, you can't get very far if you can't open that. With the other doors, well, maybe there can be consequences there. I dunno.

I've been thinking I just want to re-do Chapter 2 entirely, and maybe do some different things in Chapter 1. Such as having our heroines do some actual investigating into what's transpiring. As opposed to having information, or seeming to have information, that the player does not.

Your game basically needs MORE. It's a very bare-bones RPG that hardly has any features to make it stand out. The battle system is default and is devoid of quirks to make it interesting. Your idea for investigations is plausible since, you know, that's the title of the game and all. Try to make an interesting gameplay mechanic centered around investigating and make it rewarding.

By the way, everyone, I'll be doing another stream tomorrow at 10 am Mountain Time. I'll be playing Luxaren Allure and Soul Sunder.

Alright, I've watched the archived version (I tried to watch it live, but it kept skipping and pausing), and I want to talk about a couple of things:

- I should have recommended Casual Mode for a stream. Survivor Mode dropped all tutorials, allowing the player to learn on their own. For a livestream, Casual mode should have been what you should have chosen. That was my bad for not telling you, though, so sorry about that.

- I see you missed the Wide Plank the first time. That is a weapon for Arya that boosts her defense, making the segment where she is alone MUCH easier. The Wide Plank also gives Arya a Drive that allows her to nullify all damage to the party for one turn. You picked it up in the Forbidden Ruins, but didn't equip it for some reason. You could have picked it up earlier, as the Wide Plank was also in the first map of the Village Perimeter, located on the only boulder in that map.

This is another reason Casual Mode was a better choice. The game would not have let you leave the map until you found the Wide Plank.

- Speaking of damage, I see you didn't pick up any rocks. Those are attack items that both Arya and Alex to equip to inflict a lot of damage during battle. Since Alex already does plenty of damage with his basic attack, those rocks were meant for Arya. I tried to make a rock stand out to the player by it's placement. When the children first fell off the cliff, did you notice the random patch of dirt right next to Arya? That's a rock. There are other rocks scattered throughout the Village Perimeter that you could pick up. Throwing a rock doesn't cost Stamina, so Arya could chuck rocks all day.

- Thank you so much for pointing out the glitches, like the layering problem in the village and the one monster in the Ruins. No matter how many times I test it, and have unity test it, there's always going to be something. *Grumble grumble*.

- Yes, the art in the Childhood Arc sucks. I'm glad you laughed at that, as it is definitely giving me the drive to redraw the battlers. This is why I used RTP for the monsters, as the alternative is hilariously bad. For what it's worth, the art gets better as the game goes along.

- You can run from battles. Just press left on the battle screen to bring you to the run command.

- There were two weapons for Alex you could have grabbed. The first one is in the Village Perimeter, by a tree in the second map. The tree is sparkling, so you can't miss it. The second one is a secret weapon that you can only grab at night in the village.

- When you get killed by a monster, you are not being humped. That is the monster eating you. Being humped does not have biting sound effects.

- Now I want to point out a pretty big issue I have with your video description:

I'm gonna be blunt: That was insulting. You have just implied that Soul Sunder is a hentai game. It is not at all. When you die, you are EATEN. Not RAPED. The description, as it is now, will definitely mislead many potential players and discourage them from trying the game. Please change it to something more appropriate.

I'm sure you didn't like the game, and I'm pretty sure you did not write the description out of malice. But not only was it not funny, but it was both insulting to the game and a big deterrent to anyone who watches this at a later date.

Chill out. There I changed it. Are you happy now?

1. Hardly anyone's going to play the game anyway with what you have here.

2. The slime comes from behind and mounts. Now I know the joke wasn't funny, but I can assure you that the majority of people that will play this and witness this small scene accompanied with those sound effects will probably have the same mindset. This is what I would call something you should probably fix up right away. It could possibly trigger one of those SJWs prowling around.

3. I didn't not like the game. I think it could use some more work as well as have more hints for the player, such as being able to pick up and use rocks or using the plank. I thought the plank would be a pit-crossing item since I was in some sort of cave environment after all.
The usual time tomorrow, 10 AM Mountain Time, I'll be doing another stream. This time I'll be playing Infection and The Curse of Cpt. Loveless.
So that was a bit short, unfortunately. If you guys didn't know, though, I submit the stream videos to my youtube account, so if you want, you can take the videos and shove them in your media tab.

Here's the playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiKwdbRenX101AVQNfI_t6RSQTIbejQ28
At the usual time tomorrow I will be playing Seraphic Blue as well as Iniquity and Vindication. Haven't been active in this streaming shit for the past two weeks because I've been caught up with other things.
