WATCH DOGS WORTH IT?

It's the first time I post here... at least in THIS section. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but, is watch dogs worth it? I heard that the story isnt that great and that the graphics arent what was promised, but to be honest, i never really cared for these 2 things in the first place. I want to know if the whole vigilante gameplay as they said, can you go around in the game world saving people in danger? Is the hacking element any good? Gunplay? What can you tell me?
Should I wait for this game to lower its price or.. what?
I don't think it's worth it. But because I don't think it's worth it I've also not played it. It looks like a mashup between GTA and Assassin's Creed. Both are series that I like rather a lot but not so much that I would pay 50 or 60 euros for them. Of course I'm cheap so if I were an uberfan I might get them when they were around 20 euros. But in reality I haven't gotten a single asscreed or GTA game until they were around 10.

So I'd say Watch_dogs is worth that 10€. Maybe. If you like those kinds of games. I might pick it up when it's dropped to 29.90€ and gets that -75% discount on the GOTY version, that's about what I think it's worth.
Either Watch Dogs must be really bad or you're really el cheapo. I don't think it's a fair expectation to pay 10 clams on a current generation, just released game.
Well no. But in six months it'll be 10€ easy. And there's plenty of good 10€ games out there that I'll happily wait six months to get six games for the price of one!
Okay yeah, I can agree with that, but either my US dollar/Euro conversion is off or they just have really good deals where you're at, because it takes years for an 360/PS3 game to ever be just ten dollars here, unless it was the bottom of the barrel bargain bin. In six months Watch Dogs will probably be about ten bucks cheaper on average, and that's it.
Oh on console. Yeah console gaming is really expensive. But on, for example, steam Watch Dogs' regular price is going to go down to 29,99€ and then comes a sale (the christmas sale probably) that will drop it by 75% or 66%. And then it's a ten euro game.
Since I work in retail and sell games I can always share how it works in sweden.

Apart from the last two Call of Duty and Battlefield 4 which saw a drop in price within the first 3 months, usually a game has it's first real price drop around 6 months but that's usually like 25% of the normal price.

Watch Dogs will probably remain where it is for 2-3 months before dropping maybe 10% to begin with. It's been selling pretty well so far within the first few days.

A game RARELY drop down to around 10 dollars here simply because no supplier will sell them to us for less than that - hence we wont, no matter what, go there.

As for the game itself, I haven't played it but it does look pretty bland compared to what we saw a year ago. There's a pretty interesting video on youtube where they compare the graphics and physics between Watchdogs and GTA IV, and the latter comes out looking better on both accounts.
I was kind of excited for it, but it seems to be another case of The Emperor's New Clothes. I'd probably pick it up if it was in the bargain bin, but not any time soon.

...well, I would feel that way, but Glenn Beck says it teaches you how to hack in real life!! EDUTAINMENT!! MUST BUY

HELL YEAH! so i decided to investigate a bit more in this game, i decided to play it safe and buy it when its around 30 bucks or so. Ya know, so I wont feel like i wasted my money :D
I've heard a few people saying that it was a lot of fun, even if the graphics weren't what was promised. From what I've personally seen so far (checked out an LP but it didn't hook me right away because I'm not big on the genre) the graphics are decent, the gameplay appears to be good and the story looks promising. It might be worth picking up at a cheaper price-tag in the future, I guess.
From what I've played of the game, its alright. The game suffers from the Assassin's Creed problem of feeling bloated with content, and not all of it being fun. Gang Hideouts and Convoys are fun side activities, but the rest are hit or miss. The story started out slow, but has been gaining speed. Overall, I say rent it or wait for a sale. Thirty bucks is the highest I'd go.
