CloseHello hello hello! I'm Caz and/or missionjfrog, and I've been wanting to get in on the rpgmaker scene for aaages, but it wasn't until the Humble Bundle that I've been able to scrape up the cash to do it. So. Here I am at last. This is pretty awesome, I like it here.
I'm messing around trying to make my first game in time to lose the indie games contest! I've already learned a heck of a lot. I am very enthusiastic about RPGmaker and all of my friends are probably tired of hearing about it.
My game has spiralled out of control a bit. It was supposed to be a really simple game where the player walks into a house, feeds a cat, variables change, I learn a bit about using the programme, and that's it that's the game. Now, a couple weeks later, it's this sprawling thing with three different endings and cutscenes and puzzles and Silent Hill broken locked doors. Part of my original pitch was "an rpgmaker game without a haunted house" and in that mission I have entirely failed. It's a good game.
I'm trying not to let the Steam summer sale halt progress too badly. (glances at my 38495 logged hours in Borderlands 2) (laughs nervously)

Would I be correct in assuming you're female? (Hate to ask but it's so hard to tell and it's always great to get another woman on the RM scene - RMN has quite a few which is great but one more is always a cause for yayness!

Oh dear, I don't know if I'm man enough to be on a Real Men Network. I haven't watched the World Cup this year at all.

That's the Makerscore amount. The more you submit to the site (games, reviews, articles, etc) the more MS you gather. It doesn't affect much at the moment but there has been talk of extra features in the future. So far all it does is show that you've actually been prolific on the site and increases the amount your locker can hold.
Oh, and your locker is a space where you can upload anything (you can mark it as private or not) - from images to files and what-not. It's your own personal hosting area (games, when added to RMN, don't require you to upload to your locker - the site offers hosting for each game so don't worry about that~).

Good luck on that MS grind, though! ^.^ I've been trying to get back to the top (without much success) these last few years and it's now forever out of my reach, but if you can make it here I'll happily cede my place. ;p
