NEED HELP MAKING A SPRITE TEMPLATE FOR MY GAME.

I am making an RPG game and need some help with a sprite "template" that I can use multiple times using different weapons/armor to create different images of the same sprite...

I need the sprite image + animation for walking left/right and up down... Is there anyone that can help me? I created one myself that looks rather "Lego" stylish but I am looking for something a bit more 8-bit!

Please let me know if you can help or if you have some examples.

Note: the game will be made for iPhone.
