WHAT SUPER HERO MOVIE DO YOU MOST WANT TO SEE?

My 1st pick would be Black Panther. I first learned about him while watching a cartoon about him on Netflix. He's one of very few African super heroes out there and you all know I'm really into Africa so this was an obvious pic for me. Plus, we haven't had a black Marvel superhero since the Blade trilogy. Pretty sure that was way back in the 90s
Here's the intro to the show if you are interested.

My 2nd choice is a very close second, Wonder Woman. They gotta make a Wonder Woman movie. I don't think I need to explain her right? Anyway, the only reason she isn't my 1st choice is because there are so many people already talking about how she deserves a movie already.
Here's a fan film that was done recently that looks pretty good. Although I'd prefer the real film to be more colorful than this.

So what would you like to see as the next comic book movie?
Or, maybe you are sick of comic book movies. That's fine too.
P.S. Black Panther could be played by Michael Jai White (Black Dynamite hell yeah)
Unfortunately, I can't think of an actress that has the presence needed to fill Wonder Woman's shoes but hey I'm sure they can find someone. (Yes I know she's going to be in a film with Supes and Bats)

One more thing, did you notice Storm from the X-Men was in that Black Panther video?
I'd actually love to see a well done Black Panther movie. African descent superheroes can be underrepresented, so it would be great to see an already existing superhero mythos come to life.

My personal choice would be the Flash. People just know him as 'being really fast', but he's actually very powerful because he has a ton of secondary abilities on account of his speed (being able to run through solid things, being able to generate kinetic energy due to being so fast, being able to punch shit really hard, also due to being so fast, etc etc), that modern movie technology can really make look great.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I would just like to see ones that aren't based on comics. Comics are practically the worst possible thing to base a movie on because they run for decades and have billions of characters, and screenwriters for some reason apparently feel like they're under pressure to include as much of that shit as possible, and it's always a bad thing.

You can make comic into TV shows pretty easily, that works a lot better. You can't really make them into movies. Comics and TV shows are about characters that exist in a persistent world and how they react to a large variety of different situations. Movies are about one specific situation - if you use those same characters, it's going to feel incomplete no matter what you do. You can come up with the most interesting and movie-worthy situation possible for the characters, but it's still going to feel like it's not the whole story, because it isn't. To make a good movie that feels like a complete story, you just need new original characters that were designed just for that situation.

Storm is Black Panther's wife, FYI. They are High Priest and Priestess of the nation of Wakanda, making them gods.

Unless it has been cancelled, I believe The Flash is being made by the CW Network. Supposed to be a spin off of ARROW.
Oh, but it's going to be on TV if it does get produced.
Deadpool, anyone? The merc with a mouth needs a movie.

Wonder Woman, for sure. I’m so surprised that they haven’t made one by now; I would definitely see it. Besides, if Catwoman can get her own shitty movie – why can’t Wonder Woman???

And, for something completely off the wall – how ‘bout this guy:

Okay, I once had an idea for a story in the vein of Ocean's 11 with the main characters as Domino (the X-Force member who's mutant ability is to manipulate probability in her favor), and Black Cat (the Spiderman character who brings bad luck whenever she feels threatened). It was just an idea I once toyed with.

A Deadpool feature is actually in the making, btw. So those of you want to see him and his "comic awareness"/fourth wall breaking ability on the screen, your wish is soon to come true.

As for Wonder Woman, nobody ever gets it right.
I saw this topic. Thought about it for a day and realized I couldn't come up with anything.

Except the first thing that popped into my mind. A Paperinik animated feature could be cool, but I don't know how it would work.
Deadpool, Dr. Strange, Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers).

I know that there's a Deadpool movie supposedly in the works, but it's been in some sort of weird limbo ever since that terrible Wolverine movie that featured a Deadpool who wasn't really Deadpool at all.

I saw Dr. Strange and Ms. Marvel because they're both iconic Marvel characters who are yet to have any kind of significant recognition in the Marvel cinematic universe. Strange was name dropped in The Winter Soldier once, but that's been it so far.
I thought Strange was namedropped BECAUSE there was a movie in the works for him after the next Avengers Movie (phase three or whatever).

I also agree with this. I main Deadpool in MVC3.

I will allow a Dr. McNinja movie.

Yep as far as I know Dr. Strange is in the works. I don't know too much about Dr.Strange but I heard it's a really trippy comic so that sounds awesome to me.

Interesting idea that would certainly give it a more diverse feel than most superhero films. Afraid I don't know who Domino is but I remember Black Cat from the old cartoon definitely a cool character.

Glad to hear about the Deadpool movie. I hope it's funny.

I think the first Wonder Woman movie could probably be entirely on Themyscira and then they could have the whole coming to America thing for the 2nd film or the very end of the 1st film. Like how Captain America stayed in his time period for his 1st film.
Super Hero movies are possibly the single worst type of movie ever. How anyone can like those piles of steaming garbage is beyond me. There is absolutely no thought except "let's pile shittons of money into this, and it will make a great movie" put into any super hero movie I have ever seen. So to answer the question, I would love a super hero movie in which every super hero ever dies and them dying is now final, so that no more super hero movies will ever be made. I might even watch that.

Well, I might agree with this mostly, except that there are exceptions, as with anything.

The Watchmen (This is actually in the vein of what you just claimed you'd watch)
Batman Begins (although, the Batman movies may not necessarily count as superhero movies since the protagonist is a vigilante with no superpowers)
The Dark Knight
Ironman (though the same argument can be stated here as with Batman, the tone is more clearly that of a superhero film)
Superman (1979)
Batman (1989)
The Incredible Hulk (Though this may not count since I'm citing the 1980s series, though the more recent of the films with Edward Norton was very well done)
The Directors Cut of Daredevil

Actually, you know, I can't think of many more offhand. X-Men, the Avengers, Thor, Captain America and the like were all great fun, which is all a movie really has to be, but it would be a stretch to call them good. X-Men disappoints on many, many levels and I have wished before that it would have been a TV show, instead. It's all about showing a spectacle, like you said. The Avengers, at least, keeps true to the source material.

Dr. Strange has always been one I've wanted to see as a movie, but this will be a hard role to fill, (though I hear the director thinks he's found the perfect actor).

First, here's Domino (a little cosplay for a thread that definitely calls for it):

Domino of X-Force

Her mutant power makes her extremely lucky and I thought that this fact would make her an excellent protagonist in a movie centered on gambling, plus the fact that she's mercenary, a heist might not be out of the question either. Hell, she knows Deadpool. He can get in on the action.

Your idea for Wonder Woman is the only idea I would ever agree with, but nobody will ever do it. As far as Hollywood is concerned, Wonder Woman belongs in the U. S. and her origin will only ever get 15 minutes of screen time, if that.
One thing I've noticed in superhero movies (and every other kind of movie too, but especially superhero movies) is that the all follow pretty much the same formula. Obviously you might say. But I find that the thing I like the most in every superhero movie are the character moments. People struggling with their powers and/or having fun with them. You know that fifteen minutes or so somewhere in the early second act.

The time I always shut down is during the final set piece. I've found a lot of review talking about how superhero movies try to top the last final set piece and how "Oh my god this one was pretty sweet". But even the well-reviewed ones (I heard people saying iron Man 3's final set piece was good) I find incredibly dull.

It's a bit weird how superhero fight scenes are the least interesting thing in superhero stories. Take for example the latest Captain America final showdown. How boring was that, with the guy that just had a jet pack for some reason. The interesting bits were the bits involving the Winter Soldier, but I would have liked that to have been solved in some other way than things exploding everywhere.

To be honest I started thinking more about this because I saw X-Men Days of Future Past and its final set piece was very non-violent. It was essentially a talky standoff and I really liked that.

Now some of this might because of the superhero comics. I tried to read some of that stuff earlier this year and found it similarly tedious. There'd be one or two pages of interesting stuff and then fifteen pages of people beating each other up. I found myself quickly flipping through pages to get to some story but all they seemed to want to do was kick the shit out of each other in increasingly similar ways.

I guess I just approached it the wrong way. Reading superhero comics for story is like watching porn for it.

This, Shinan, is why I like Deadpool.

Though, I am a bit worried that hollywood will screw him up, just like what they did to the captain.
