CloseName's Neok. I lived here some years ago, made some embarrassing games, then ran off to who knows where for a couple years.
Stuff happened. Eventually I picked up VX Ace, and recently started fiddling around with it. And it.

So much so that I kinda wanna get back into making embarrassing games again. So that might happen sometime. Anyways, I recognize a bunch of names here.
Hiiiii you guys~. *Waves* (Also hi to you cool new folks who I don't know.)
Anyways to celebrate coming back, I'm going away on vacation for 2 weeks, leaving tomorrow for San Diego Comicon! (To be honest, I kinda wanna just stay home and keep tinkering with Ace. Soooo good...)

Anyways, I’m glad that you’re trying to get back into the game making scene again. Yeah, VX Ace is pretty cool, but I still personally prefer the sweet complexity of Rm2k3, 256 color limitations and all.
Anyways, have fun at Comicon! Try to bring me back a hat.
Oh, and *cough* post lots here and contribute the best you can and someday, yada, yada, yada - you know the drill.

Haha that aside, while I'm sure there are a number of exciting games, only two have so far really caught my attention: Homework Salesman and The Logomancer. Maybe you can get started with those two games :) And I think Dreaming Mary is also making waves recently.
As for other games, I'll probably let other people recommend them.
You know, if I decided to go back to my old posting style here I would have probably been tossed out the front door a long time ago. Looking back at it, my old posts were pretty bad… But, hey – at least you liked all my random wackiness back then, so that’s good.
And I don’t mind you still calling me S4D, as you’re the only that I will give special permission to call me that since you were one of the cool ones back then.
And things for me have been doing pretty well since. Since you’ve been gone, I have slowly risen up the rankings only to be as lazy as everybody else around here. (Hm, who knew?)
Also, Liberty - I want one of those cookies too! I don't care if it's made out of plastic, just GIMME, GIMMIE, GIMMIE!!!
