HOW TO MAKE HD SPRITES?

Is it possible to make a high definition version of an original sprite while still reassembling it's original concept? Also i'm not sure if this helps but i use Photoshop to make the sprites.
If you have to ask, you are probably quite the the ways away from doing it.
Yes, it may be possible to do so... the question is? Does that HD sprite fits in your program specifications? For example, you can do a perfect HD 800x600 sprite for Alex but that good-looking guy would not run in RM2k3 as a sprite using the default system (probably would not even fit the screen).
Depends on what you mean by "HD Sprite". If you mean actual pixel art, just bigger, then the only process is to redraw the sprite. Its easy enough to use the original sprite as a base - just upscale it to the size you need, lower the opacity, and start re-doing the outlines and such on a new layer.

If you're talking about smooth HD graphics, you could try the process in this video. I didn't watch it all the way through, but it basically just uses the smudge tool to turn the enlarged pixels into smoother shapes/gradients.

Modern emulators and re-releases of old games make use of sophisticated algorithms to turn the pixel art into smoother vector images, but a lot of people think the results are pretty damn ugly, and I'd have to agree. I also haven't seen these filters available as Photoshop plug-ins, so I don't think us regular blokes will be making use of them.

Actually i've been trying thinking of porting everything from older rpg maker series to VX Ace, already done a few extra sprites for the RM95 actors for the standing sprite. Thew only thing i didn't exactly like was the in depth graphics, it looked too pixelated, and truth be told kinda small...
