THE GIFT OF MUSIC

To all of RMN
I know alot of people have the problem of what music to put into their game. Preferably they don't want music that's MIDI. It's hard also to find MP3 that aren't commercial. Though there out there. Not everyone does not have a music composing talent I certainly do not. Not everyone who composes music can help people out with their games and composing music for it. I'm not sure if anyone else has discovered this little treasure-trove. But this is my gift to the community.
Freeplay Music
Freeplay Music is an archive and collection of a whole slew of songs and music performed by Indie artists who just want to see their music get noticed. Most of them have no lyrics or vocals. From every genre you can think of to every mood you can think of Freeplay Music has it. I probably know this won't be the greatest thing to happen to RMN heck it won't even get noticed. But I felt like I should give this head-up to RMN.

As long as were're talking about free music, be sure to take a look at tracks that are in the public domain (that is, they belong to EVERYONE). There's no copyright infringement by using them, and more often nowadays these things are being uploaded to the internet. There's stuff from every era of recorded music, from old bluegrass to modern electronica.
http://www.muzic.com is one such a place where you can download these tracks (or listen to them streaming).
Man, Nick, some of these tracks seriously kick ass. GOOD FIND.

Hummm...I mostly buy my music now on Legalsounds because each song is soooooo damn cheap! And not a lot of people have heard of these artists. But...I may give this site a try, although I'm done with music collecting (at least...until the next project) it would be good to check it out.
EDIT: Hey Nick...I agree with Blitzen! This stuff is pretty darn good, I have it saved for future considerations. You deserve a cookie for your efforts. :P

I'm never done with music collecting, I'm always seaching around places. Nice find NN, I'm pretty impressed by some of those tracks. A lot of them won't fit with the style of game I'm making but I've found some real decent ones already \o/
This topic is just fine, but it probably makes more sense to have it in the Help/Request forum since it's more about game resources than theory, so I'll put it there.
Sorry about my absence my relatives where over my house, but I thank you for those who checked it out and even gave me some compliments. *takes a bow* I will post other sites if I find anything else. I'm going to contact Blindsight for the Rescources List and see if this could be added.
