I CAN'T THINK OF A TITLE FOR THIS. ROBIN WILLIAMS COMMIT SUICIDE.
Posts
I don't have too much of an opinion of Robin Williams, not too much of a movie person. But having dealt with suicides of neighbors and friends and suffering from depression myself, my heart goes out to those he left behind.
I do think suicide is wrong, but it's not like you have much of a choice if suffering from depression, if it hits hard enough so you want to kill yourself. It's an altered state of mind.

I always got the feeling he never looked very happy.
I wasn't a fan, but it's sad. I feel for his family and friends.

As a child, he was my number one favorite actor. He always managed to make me smile, and his voice ended up being rather soothing for me. Someone I know said something and I share her sentiment: I hope that somehow, somewhere, he sees how much people he's moved, how thankful we all have been for his productions. He's made a lot of great movies and a lot of eh movies, but the quality of his movies doesn't matter. If you're a fan of him, you'll have a favorite, and now's a good chance to rewatch it.
If anyone's wondering, my favorite is Patch Adams, despite all the dubious writing choices. (In my defense I was a kid at the time I first watched it).

Not much of a fan but...
He'll be missed, that's for sure.
Ps. I think I saw somewhere here that he was in Flubber? Is that the one where a fat scientist took testosterone shots to become thin? Or am I just confusing it with some other movie? If I'm not wrong, the movie I'm describing had Eddie Murphy as the lead.

author=karins_soulkeeperFlubber is about a scientist who invents a manner of sentient goo. Hilarity ensues.

edit: The easiest way to learn more about it, of course, would be to watch it!
Yeah, I just remembered now! Flubber was about that super-bouncy green jelly-thing.
Sorry for the confusion :)
I can't believe I mixed those up...

I remember how much that one scene of the movie skeeved me out; you know the one. The one where Flubber flies into that one jackass' mouth near the end of the movie, bounces around wildly inside of him before shooting out of his ass. His reaction to the whole deal, especially the sudden "mommy...", just ech.
Genie why this.
I heard from my collective yesterday, i think its the first time a celeb has died that I actually cared about prior to his death.
Hopefully he gets a better deal out of unlife than life.
As a young one (like, 6 fuckin years old im talking and for those that dont know thats 20 years ago) I was enchanted by the Aladdin movie and in particular, the magical genie of the lamp. I thought magic was real as real gets until I was told otherwise two years later.
Here, it's commemorative fucking song time because Coked up R.W. is great for the energetic Genie.

Anonymous strikes again. Zelda Williams (daughter of Robin Williams) has had to cut her ties to social media after people began ridiculing her about her father's death, supposedly about not sharing more photos of him, while throwing photoshopped monstrosities her way, the likes of which should be obvious given the recent circumstances and the ghoulish nature of anonymous.
It's a good thing these creatures-in-human-skin are never seen outside of their basements.

I personally think Anonymous is a thing that needs to exist because they do provide good in some scenarios where most wont speak it, but that shits rotten and shitty. Like what did Zelda even do outside of being R.W's daughter and feeding a starving elf now and then when she wasn't being rescued by him.

Wow, that is actually deplorable. Absolutely horrible.

i never saw the film, but that was in the trailer. that was shockingly disgusting and violent for a children's movie!
This man was my favorite. It's hard to believe he's gone, but going through some depression myself, I can't say I don't understand. Sometimes, a man tells jokes to hide how bad it hurts.
Popeye
Good Morning, Vietnam
The Adventures of Baron von Munchausen
Hook
Aladdin
Mrs. Doubtfire
Good Will Hunting
Jumanji
and of course, the Night at the Museum movies.
I'm really going to miss him.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

This and the scene from Mrs. Doubtfire where his son walks in on him peeing are basically my entire memory of Robin Williams.
I'm surprised this thread is still going after four days, I was under the impression that most people hate celebrity gossip and mock the media for their obsession with movie stars' personal lives.
