RM2K3 POWERMODE ERROR / WHAT ELSE TO USE?

In the middle of my game design, my RM2k3 game that used Powermode .exe stopped working. Now it just shows a black screen for a moment and before anything else, returns an error:

???? 6720696D ????? 6720696D ????Writing?????????

There are no active parallel processes at startup, I moved the player start to an empty map, and no change. When I replaced the Povermode .exe with vanilla .exe, everything worked fine (just without Powermode functions, of course). The Powermode wasn't used too extensively in this project, just the alternate main menu and counterclockwise spinning pictures. So maybe it's not worth trying to get Powermode to work. The only feature I really care for is removing the title screen (and allowing to load/quit in some other way). So if you don't know a solution for the Powermode problem, what other RM2k3 hack/plugin with the features mentioned would you recommend?
