WRITER LOOKING FOR PROGRAMMERS

Howdy, I am new to RMN and figured I'd introduce myself. I am a writer who is working on his first novel at the moment, and have a strong interest in Celtic lore/mythology (if you hadn't noticed by my username).

I am interested in looking for those who are proficient in the use of RPG Maker and working with those said individuals to bring to life some of my stories that I think would translate very well into a game setting.

I've tried to learn a bit about RPG Maker to try and do it myself, but it has proved extremely challenging for me, and I don't think I have the right kind of mind that is required to code. I'm more of a writer and an artist to be honest.

If you have any interest in collaborating with me, please, don't hesitate to reach out and give me a message. Thank you, and I am happy to join in with the rest of the RMN community!

I (kinda) also am a writer, for eight years now (though I never finished anything at all). Right now, I'm into converting my unfinished works into games.

What I'm saying is that it is really hard to find someone who will be willing to work for someone else. Those people are pretty rare nowadays. I suggest you give rpg maker another shot or two. If there's anything that you want to be clarified, feel free to ask around in the forums. I mean, won't learning to do it yourself give you more flexibility?

Anyways, good luck!

Welcome! :)

I agree with what Karin said, however I would also suggest Twine as a platform for making games. It allows you to make text based games that are similar to a chose your own adventure book. It's fairly simple to use and requires little to no knowledge of programming. It might be perfect for a writer like yourself. Here's a tutorial of how to use it.
