I did not protect Jeroen, my power's worked like Wes'. The Tenkai basically wandered the festival last night occasionally looking at stalls. Nothing happened. All the action was elsewhere.

Ah yes, here it is. I had said just a few posts ago that my protection is AUTOMATIC, and you said your power worked like mine, which implies that you know, yours is automatic too. And now you say it's not automatic, you actually have to choose a target? Either you misread my post earlier or you slipped up bad just now.

Mr Suna, if you would, tell us what you think of the argument about who's a Protector between me and piano. 'M interested in your input.
Yes. Thinking back to some of your previous posts, you've never expressed a personal opinion. Except for MajoracanKing (who we now know is the stunt double), Ilan, who left the game, and Happy, who played Santa Claus for a day and split, you are the only one simply letting other people's opinion's lead you.

My take on the Protector argument is that I've been letting it slip since the beginning of Day 1. Wes comes out of the blue, claims to be Protector and uses this as a reason to vote for me, and what I did was more incriminating how? I mean, this is wildwes' whole argument, that having three protectors is unfair to the assassin, therefore I must be it, because wes couldn't possibly be (why not? It's true that one of us could be lying and that is an inescapable fact. Short of mod-killing ourselves by cutting and pasting our PMs, there's nothing that can be done about that). I personally believe wes, but I have a doubt. Unity has been productive, and so has Cave, Jeroen, and PA. Gourd_Clae appears not to be the assassin since he was with one of the two killers when TungermanU was night-killed elsewhere. Dudesoft hasn't been heavy on participation for a very good reason, but his insistence on going after me seems to be because he doesn't like my play style. I understand, but it's beginning to look a little single-minded. Expound, please.

I think it's a mistake not to lynch PA, but I don't think it's a mistake to

#lynch Mr_SuNa

I would mention what my role is, but there are few of us left for any mystery for the assassin.
I haven't let people guide me with anything I only lynched once and that was for a silence rune (that I lost that night) other than that I haven't voted for anyone because I haven't found anything incriminating enough to try to lynch anyone, today is proving different, I'm just stuck in a toss up between you, CAVE, and Wes.

No, I don't have to choose a target. I just have to perform an action.
...Perform an action? Do you have a power separate from your Protector/Doctor/whatever power that you can use?
author=wildwes
I've said it before, my protection is automatic. I think piano said his was too, didn't he? But yeah, if someone tries to kill the Tenkai during the night, I'll die instead.

...Actually, now that I've reread my role PM, it seems to imply that ANY action towards the Tenkai during the Night phase will be directed to me. Not just attacks meant to kill. So if someone targets the Tenkai it'll go to me instead... I need to read my role PM better next time, jeez.

In conclusion from my last post discussing the protector situation (and a bit of digging through posts) Piano's changing protection thing makes him look more suspicious.
Shot, now I really want to kill piano. I'm kind of sick of giving him the benefit of the doubt. I still think I want cave dead a little more though, so tomorrow perhaps.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

While this situation certainly puts piano in a bad light, it could be he has to choose whether or not to stalk the tenkai or something.

I'm still not up for lynching a potential protector.

No, I did not protect Jeroen. I am a Protector for the Tenkai specifically, and my protection is automatic, meaning if he gets targeted, I die instead.

You said this. My command is specifically Protect, but I don't know who I'm protecting. I will automatically protect the Tenkai star. This is how I interpreted what you said. How does that mean I've changed what my protect ability is?
what would be the point of having to CHOOSE whether or not to protect the Tenkai? I mean, if you're town you'd just choose to protect the Tenkai every single night, thus making the option of choosing pointless. Maybe he can only protect/stalk the Tenkai a certain amount of times?

Hmmm... You're certainly right about this...

Because I have another ability I can use instead. I can choose to hunt, and if someone targets the Tenkai, I will disable his or her ability. If more than one person targets the Tenkai, I will know who is targeting him, but I won't know what skill is being used and thus I will have to guess. If I do this, I cannot protect, which is why it is not active unless I want it to be.
My decision

He is just too suspicious, his role seems to change ever so slightly too often.

I'm not sure what to think about this. On one hand this sounds kinda plausible, but on the other hand this role sounds completely OP if used correctly... if it were CAVE running the game I wouldn't question OP roles but...

when you say you'll disable the ability of a person who targets the Tenkai, what do you mean? Do you disable it just on that night so it doesn't work on the Tenkai or do you disable it permanently?
I just feel like he's been explaining it more thoroughly. He was only answering what was absolutely necessary. Probably because he didn't want to blow his whole role....?

Nah, since he's such a damn newbie, he strikes me as telling the truth.

I can also see how this dual role thing could work well, especially if you don't know about multiple protectors. You have the option of maybe discovering the assassin, but at the risk of letting the Tenkai get killed.

(Also it offers the ability to suss out who's the Tenkai if things work out right.)

Thought it might be good to mention

We currently have 12 players

Of those 12
4 have said their roles
8 roles are still a mystery
Let's try to keep it that way, no need to make it easier for the assassin, he/she already knows what'll happen if a person is picked and Wes dies.

It just disables for the night. For all I know, I could be hunting someone trying to use an ability to protect the Tenkai, thus I opt to protect each night phase. The benefit of hunting is that I will know who used an ability to target the Tenkai.

Come, Piano, let us kiss with tongue!
