PIZZA THE PLACE

More good stuff, Pizza. I like that emerald colour you use for grass. The mountain is great, and I like that girl sprite.
I really look forward to seeing all this stuff in action!

I'm trying my best to get enough material for a gamepage, but of course I'm actually nowhere near that goal.

WARK WARK MOAR WORK
This tileset and map took fucking forever. It all ended up being worth the effort though. I've since fixed the double-black line in the first screen.

Hey this is really good stuff! I really dig the texturing style and the colors. Very Mother-ish.
Thanks!

Had to do an isometric classroom in pixels for my technical drawing class. I really don't like using photoshop for pixel art (or pixelling on 60 degree angles for that matter) but I think it came out pretty decent.
Also, I'm working on some more tileset stuff:

I'm loving all of the screens you've posted, they're all top-notch. I've heard some people say that pixel art is getting outdated, but the way you do it is so crisp and modern.
I especially like the town tileset up there with the tall wire thingy, it just looks really interesting.

The people who say pixel art is outdated or inherently bad or whatever are retarded. How out of touch with the game art industry/indie scene can you possibly be?
I wouldn't want to live in a world where pixel art was completely obsolete and unused.

Project related sketches:
Still taking a long, long time for this project to come together. But I think it's getting there, slowly but surely, and becoming something pretty coolio.
I also began spriting a fox girl for the project:

This is my first time making a furry character sprite, oddly enough. Left side is 5x, right side is in-game.

Decided to upload some schoolwork I did over the last little while. These are the first two assignments for out Art History class, made for concepts based on the civilizations we've been covering:
This was made for an animation class, based on my controller in the RMN Battledome:
Finally, an update on the fox girl. I have to say, I think she came out really nice. It's too bad she had to lose her leg, but hey, story is story. Thems the brakes. She's pretty cute, if I do say so myself.

Concept work. Playing with some visual effects before I go and plan out all the maps and crack down on it. The palette needs a little cleanup but this demonstrates the look nicely.

More concepts, different style. Sadly these may be thrown out, since the game didn't pan out as an RPG Maker thing. Ah well.

Pixel Daily from yesterday. I was too hungover to do the daily today, spent what little effort I had doing the lighting concept.

@Pizza That first screenshot is simply stunning. The landscape of those little white glowing dots over the similar dark blue colours of the background is exceptional.
Is that second screenshot the one to do with the powerlines? Because if so, it's sad that that didn't work out. Like, really sad. Unless, like you're implying, that it's moved to another engine. Then I wish you all the best.
Third screenshot... cool characters ^_^ It's kind of like that new Inside Out film that Pixar has coming out.

@Cash: Thanks, I was really fond of how the lighting effects worked out in the end, specifically the singular lights dotting the landscape. I was playing with the idea of having the background lights and stars glow as well, but it got scrapped for looking too muddy.
The second screenshot is actually to do with the first, as it started development in RPG Maker VXA. We've since moved to Unity and a side scrolling style as evidenced by the first though. I'm definitely bummed out since I liked those sprites, but I think I can pull off something equally as good in the new version.
You have no idea how excited I am by this project. Everything is soaring sky high right now at Casa de Pizza, my room mate and I are looking forward to really getting this thing going. I'm glad the both of you like the look of it.

Today's pixel daily, a study of Paul Robertson's stuff. It came out really iffy because holy shit it's actually really hard to pixel like that. I did the cast of Final Fantasy 5.

I also made this planet asset today, for the same game as the background concept:
EDIT: Another concept from the game, this time at the proper resolution as it will appear in the final:
