Marli is known and cherished all over our beautiful country of Brazil.
Through her voice and music, she represents reality and many different, subtle aspects of society. With a range of many incredible hits, her career had a colossal impact in our musical industry. She is a revolutionary woman.

I shall share a few of her songs with you guys.

Most of her songs seem to have a secondary meaning.

"Cachaça" talks about depression and alcohol, and its apparent impact leading to sad consequences.

"Bertulina" is truly gothic in appearance, music and lyrics. It talks about the darkness in a woman's life, forced to resort to wrongdoings and embracing darkness in her life.

*Originally Uxoricídio, which is a spanish and portuguese only word that means "the killing of a wife by a husband"

"Além Do Arco Iris" (Beyond the Rainbow) is a song that talks about a poor woman that has been betrayed and robbed by her lover. It is a very sad song. It also features an animated part, which looks really cute!

in case you didn't get the joke she does actual trash music and she has a rather large fanbase, although evidently she's no star or anything in here, much for the contrary. But I honestly think she's pretty cool to have the guts to go there and do what she wants LOL
