These were my reasonings with my votes:

kentona vs Link_2112
Winner: kentona

I chose this mainly due to superiority of the chosen battle chip, since both robots are pretty evenly matched everywhere else. Boxing is mostly just landing swings and jabs with your arms, while Bajiquan allows for a lot more varied techniques like kicks and stuff.

alterego vs. JJJ7
Winner: JJJ7

This was one of the tough ones. Yaosolotyl's unique capabilities and equipment were intimidating. Zetta outclasses it a little bit in stats, except its health is pitiful by comparison. This and the fact that JJJ7's battle plan is a bit lacking in foresight made it tough to decide.

I think I ultimately went with JJJ7, however, because I personally docked alterego for not posting a battle strategy. So it was like, 1 point minused off for what could be a potentially even matchup.

Winner: Dudesoft

This one was a little bit quicker for me. yawnyawn's bot may outclass Dude's in mobility and power, but it has absolutely no variety in terms of equipment by comparison. I think Dude pretty much stated how he'd respond to yawn's strategy in his battle plan. Yawn's bot would get punished the moment it enters close range with Dude's stick-pole fighting style, rust gel, and other things.

Using the same kind of logic I had for Kentona vs Link, my final decision was mainly based on the battlechip choice than anything else. Bare-handed combat doesn't beat swords. Also, Suzy's battleplan pretty much suggests that it doesn't really have anything over Lion's bot.

I figured Crushtanium would be better suited for close combat by comparison, due to it's greater variety in equipment, especially with rust gel. That's all I can remember.

This is the last revision I got from Link. If any wish to change their votes, feel free to pm me, and I will reverse the poll count in light of the alteration.

Good to know, but it doesn't look like Link's strategy actually uses any of that stuff. The projectile shields and long-range weapons are irrelevant since both fighters attempted to close the gap ASAP, and Kentona has both a more complete melee strategy and higher melee stats. I think if Link tried to stay outside Kentona's reach and use his ranged arsenal he might have stood a chance.

I didn't really go into much detail in my strategy for any of my weapons except 1 or 2. And actually, my bot was supposed to have like 6 arms xD So I've been severely under-represented. But I rushed mine last minute, so I can't complain.

Really, only my stunorang, and probably freeze bomb, are medium/long range weapons. Everything else will work close range. If I get grabbed my bots will be shooting, my scorpion tail will be stabbing, my flamethrower will be throwing, and my many arms will be using my many weapons.

My attack stat is higher than kentonas and my agility is higher as well, so who's to say he can actually catch me or be able to latch on for very long. I have more than enough arms and limbs(scorpion tail) to do stuff while tied up. And my attacks may rock him to the point where he can't do what he wants, altho he does have the defense stat to balance it out.

But whatever, I hate you all. I feel...something building inside me. Is it rage? Tune in next battledome to find out! ;P

That could just be some absent-mindedness on my part, but I still thought you had the better close-combat equipment.

Wonder if we'll get more time for voting on this one, since there are so many more battles to vote on than any of the other rounds.

Also we need more detailed strategies because those are awesome and they make me get super into it

Is having 2 Paragraphs of general text, combined with having a strategy for each weapon your foe has count as being Detailed enough...

Yeah, it was your posts that actually got me thinking that, too. Maybe ask Dudesoft if you can still revise your strategy if necessary? That would be fairer, I think.

Will be a bit more than an hour late. Will I still be able to get my plan in?

I just got mine in (1/2 hour late) so if Dudes is being really strict about it we both won't have battle plans lol. But I think he'll probably cut us both some slack.
