That is actually interesting. I wouldn't take YM as an illogical person but he's certainly acting it this game. Maybe that's because he's mafia! Or maybe he's a lord with a different objective than we're suggesting and that's why he's objecting so harshly.

Some things need to seriously be cleared up here because I agree with Sooz, there is a lot of speaking going on, but not a whole lot of sense.

I, Stable Boy, have a suggestion on how to proceed from here;

Screw the lords, let them work on killing each other.
The rest of us sane people should work on finding the person who wants all scum dead, because finding lords kind of works against the whole "find the scum" idea.

Anyone with me?

And yeah sorry for being part of the "HOLY SHIT WHO'S A LORD?!" bandwagon that led to red herrings; I got distracted by the shiny new faction feature and forgot how to play mafia (as opposed to a minigame that doesn't freaking matter).

Moral of the story I guess is don't try to play mafia when you have the plague.

What concerns me is Pianotm lying about what action he used on Gourd - he first claimed he "investigated" Gourd and then later backpedaled and admitted that he stole one of Gourd's items. YM is jumping to too many conclusions and it has me concerned, but Pianotm has been doing the same thing plus outright lying. When I voted to lynch Pianotm he was doing what YM started doing later, but my vote stays with Pianotm for now.

I can kinda understand lying; it's usually safer to keep it under wraps if you have a thing or do a thing, in case it tips off scum to... somethingorother. This is not really a game for wearing one's colors on one's sleeve. vOv I'm still kind of inclined to assume dumb versus malicious in this case.

I guess it's kind of a coin flip at this point. Someone do/say something really suspicious to help us decide!

Umm...no. If I had, the outcome and this conversation would have been different, now wouldn't it?

Frankly, YM is pushing that ALL lords must be killed because they will kill all town, never minding the fact that they CAN'T kill town, and his excuse is some imaginary abilities that they may or may not even have. He's also come out directly as saying as he is just going to ignore Jeroen's posts because, according to him, they don't have much to do with the actual game.

I may have gotten a few things off and formed erroneous ideas based on that, but at least I didn't say that the moderator's probably lying anyway.

@YM Your idea about objectives being somewhat different wouldn't be so bad if didn't conflict with the flavor so much! You can't exactly rule the kingdom with another lord trying to take the throne. Yeah, it's meta, but even still it seems more likely Jeroen didn't tell us the objectiove so we'd have something to talk about.

I guess we'd have to agree to disagree: I see no reason to follow the flavour so rigidly. For that matter, I don't see why Jeroen wouldn't throw a curveball here or there just to shake us off the whole meta side of things.

Neutrals are a faction right? If all factions must die according to whatever Gourd has/think Lords have the that includes neutrals.

By the way, don't forget that nightkilling is not the only way to get rid of players in this game. Poisoning and good ol' lynching are around too.

ALL OF USincludes other Lords, other Bodyguards, Scum & Neutrals. You might argue that it's an impossible game to win, but when you have Lords at each others throats and the lord-kill -> bodyguard-kill thing going, it's not too ridiculous an idea, is it?

Scum's objective is, as far as anyone can deduce, to kill all of the lords. YM is building a case to get everyone to kill all of the lords. You do realize that based on what was established in the opening post, only scum can win that game?
