HOW DO I UPLOAD A GAME

First you need to create a gamepage.
On the very top of the site, when you're logged in, hover over the Submissions tab and click Submit Game. This will allow you to set up the gamepage. You'll need three screenshots of gameplay before the gamepage enters the submission process. After it's been approved, which can take a few days, you can upload a game to the gamepage.

Don't forget a description! You need that for a gamepage to be accepted as well!

This topic gives you a good idea of what is wanted and needed when making a game page that will be approved. Good luck!

good thing i am developing the game in vista as creating screen shots in windows 7 is a nightmare.(i do know how to do it though but it is easier in vista.) is it ok if i write a list of known issues or should i fix them first?
is there a way i can edit it after it is compiled.(i have done so much work after the demo was compiled that i can not compile it again as it was when i compiled it.)
no you can't edit a game after it is compiled, you have to go back to your source, make the edits, and recompile.
then i will just need to upload it as it is. is that ok. (it can be played from start to finish without any major issues. that version was built as a demo so some functions like camping is disabled and it ends after defeating a specific boss, with scrolling text.)
then i would need to discard all of my recent work, forcing me to do it again. i spent weeks adding new stuff after i compiled the demo. i really want to upload the first demo before i release the second. here is how i am planning to release it: first as demo 1, then as a new larger demo containing more stuff but everything present in the first demo, then i will release the first continent demo which contains the entire area present in the earlier games in the series. after that i will not release any more demos but the full version will be released when it is done.
Wait, why would you need to discard all of that? I think you're doing something wrong???
Did you... delete the project folder after compiling your game? Because that would be very silly. You should never delete your project folder. I mean...I...Why???
What engine are you using? If it's one of the RM engines, then unless you delete the source folder for the game you can just reopen it in the program from when you last saved it - meaning you don't have to uncompile, just open the game folder and edit away.
It's a bit silly to not have an open copy of the game on your computer for fucking-around-with purposes (like, oh, stealing old code for new projects and borrowing resources that you used in the past. Or just enhancing and polishing.)
It's a bit like sending in a rough draft of an essay to the teacher and deleting every version of it on the computer after sending. What if the teacher tells you you need to do more to it, or what if you decide you want to double-check a fact or change the wording of a sentence that's bugged you. You can't now.
Sorry, I'm just a bit bamboozled by the thought. XD
If you're not using RM then you should be making a copy of your project folder before you compile it in the future, so that you can just re-open the project and work on it as you like.

Liberty, I think what he meant is that after compiling the demo, he kept working in the same project without saving a separate editable version of the demo. So the current version of te project has a lot of (perhaps unfinished) stuff in it the demo didn't have, and therefore getting it back to the state of the demo would be difficult to do.
Edit: Ninja'ed by your edit. Never mind me.
