This may be easy to fix and I am just being dumb. Running windows 10 evaluation. When I open RMXP it will not pop up, at all. It is showing up in the task manager, it even asks for admin permissions, but no window will open. Anyone ever have this issue with 7 or 8?

Thank you
I really am sorry, this was not meant to be duplicated.
Try running it in compatibility mode (Right Click => Properties => Compatibility). Select Run in Windows XP or something like that. Maybe that will solve the issue.
I did, (service pack 3) I will go as old as possible though and see what happens. (at work right now, got to love overnights!)
Oh great, a new version of Windows that we will fight with to get our ancient technologies running on.
ya i know, whats worse is that I cannot find anyone who has even tried to run it. All rpgmakerweb.com forums have are people posting about vx ace. I tried vx ace, I don't like it, I feel so limited with it. So we continue onward trying to get our 10 year old software running on a modern os.
RM XP trips DEP, although when it does on 7 it just gives the 'application has quit responding' error. Check to see what mode DEP is on and if it's in opt-out mode add RMXP to its whitelist and see if that helps.

If that doesn't do it then I've got nothing.

e: DEP is Data Execution Prevention, a security precaution that's been in Windows since... Vista? but on the second most tame and equally useless mode. I doubt that has changed in Windows 10. I don't know how to check it in Windows 10 but in 7 if you go to your system properties -> advanced system settings -> performance settings -> Data Execution Prevention you can see what it's set for. The first option "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only" is the opt in mode which is useless and probably default. The other "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select" is the opt-out mode which you need to add RMXP to in order to get RMXP to not trip DEP.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Based on my experiences with the Windows 8 evaluation mode, in general I wouldn't expect Windows 10 to run software right now, period. Once it is publically released, that's another story. But the version you're using was released so software designers can adapt to the architecture, it's not meant to be able to actually run programs yet. If you can install anything at all, it's purely a fluke.
Yeah, I kinda assume it's in demo mode at the moment, and thus, unable to do everything that the full software would be able to.
Ok, the last evaluation version I used was windows 7, and that was awesome, you could run anything on that and it wasn't even out yet. But that is probably true.
