CloseThere was some leaks about it recently. It's possible that they could be fake but they seem really legit.
Personally I'd rather see Simon Belmont, Shantae, or a Moogle/Blackmage.
But oh well. At the end of the day I get to play as Shulk so Nintendo can throw in whoever they want lol.
What's your opinion on Rayman being in?

Toad, Simon Belmont, Master Higgins, Bomberman, or Captain N would be my votes for new DLC!

I think shulk is some kind of abbreviation for She-Hulk.

Shantae is a pretty well established game protagonist. She's been around since Gameboy Color. Plus they could use more female game stars in Smash.
As for Shulk if you've played Smash you must have seen him. Anyway I don't need to explain him since Feldschlacht already did.

Shulk is the protagonist of Xenoblade.
Seriously though Xenoblade is an amazing RPG. Plus, The people who made Xenoblade made Xenogears. And, the people who made Xenogears made Chrono Trigger. Which is why Lucca appears in the Xenogears.
Anyway, I agree with you on Bomberman. He'd be a great addition to the roster. Bomberman was one of my favorite NES games.
Seriously though, I had heard of Xenogears before, because you had a thread or blog post going on and on about it (but other than that I have no recollection - I couldn't even tell you what the game is about or looks like, because I've never seen it or played it), but I hadn't heard of Shantae until today.
Shantae's pretty obscure, but she has a fairly solid series going. It doesn't receive a lot of attention, which is kind of unfortunate.
As for Smash leaks, with the prospect of DLC characters, anyone could make just about any wild claim and Photoshop something believable. I only believe what I see officially from Nintendo. It'd be nice to get Snake back on the roster, though.

I'm still surprised to see Ryu being included in the series now. I wonder if Ken will be a palette swap?
Honestly, though, I don't see a chance of Snake coming back, nor do I see a chance for people like Simon Belmont or Bomberman, ect. I think the only third-party characters that I would expect would be either from Sega, Capcom, or Namco. They're the only ones involved in the project, so I think they're the only ones who'll get any say in that area. Because of that, I don't really see a possibility of Rayman either.

Of all the random posts I've made why revive this one you could have just made a new topic lol oh well. I would like to see a Moogle or Black Mage or combination of the two in Smash. If they choose an FF main character like Cecil Terra Cloud or Tidis some fans will be happy others will be mad so using a mascot to represent FF games would be the non controversial route.
Edit: I guess I sorta said that before but at least I'm giving a reason for my FF pick this time. Although If I did pick a main lead form FF it'd be Cecil.
