I purchased RPGMAKER VX Ace on steam as an impulse, and no regrets givin. :D
I do I have two questions.
First is a two part question, how do I add a profile pic? I see a avatar image but
its just a blank and very long rectangle and some text stating it needs to be at max 150x150 but do not see a way to grab a picture from my computer or something of the like. Second part of the question is; is there a restriction for the profile pic? Obviously I cannot/ shouldn't use anything offensive or pornographic, but can I grab a random image from google?
Now for the second question. I am creating my own airship and I have a question about creating it. The actual question is is this area of the forum an appropriate area to ask said question?

you'd be surprised. some people thought that pornographic images WERE okay for a profile pic (they are not).
Anywho, in our cumbersome custom forum system, you can upload an image to your locker (username > Locker in the upper left), and then after uploading on, click on the link to find the full path name to your image, copy it, and then go to Edit Profile and paste that full path into your Avatar textbox.

Er, anyway, you can use your locker to upload an image from your computer. Then, use the little link icon next to the file, which will give you a link to copy into the field for your avatar. I can't think of any other restrictions that you haven't covered, but, the terms of service probably covers them.
As for the airship question, and other questions related to the act of game-making, the most likely place would be to make a Help Me! thread.
