i need a battle system for my crossover game. it needs to be something interesting, but not completelly different. something flashy. any suggestions?

if you want something flashy, that's more in the domain of custom animations. Without any information, like number of party members, a general plot theme, or some skills you plan on including, we can't help. The more specific you are, the more specific the rest of us can be.
