In this topic, we just post whatever's on our mind. Something pissing you off? Did you think of something totally awesome?

Me, I recently remembered something totally random.

Robocks. Man, does anyone else remember that game?
WIP
I'm not comfortable with any idea that can't be expressed in the form of men's jewelry

Haha. Barely.
Starscream
Conquest is made from the ashes of one's enemies.

I only know of that game because of the "update" it received at the original #rm2k Fest.
Eyes on Me is easily my favorite Final Fantasy insert song. I keep forgetting how much I love the song, then I hear it randomly one day and can't stop listening for a while.
Seikendensetsu 3 is incredibly overrated, and on my copy the save games always erase.

7th Saga 2 shouldn't be called that. It's Mystik Ark, and it sucks in comparison. Besides having a the same orb type thing, it's completely different.

Wii Play/Hajimete no Wii is fun. I like the tank game.
Agreed on SD3. The whole button mashing system is such a massive step down from Secret of Mana's charge bar that gave combat a rhythm and charging up a point. SD3's charge bar is basicly a button you hit now and then admidst the rest of the button mashing. It's tragic that 2d action rpgs tend to derive more than SD3's style than SoM's ever since.
SD3 did feel a lot more forced than SD2 (Secret of Mana) did. The fact it showed enemy names and level numbers didn't help- I felt like I couldn't stay because, OH NO King Rabite is level 3 and I'm level 6- what the heck am I still doing there, versus me still having fun on killing Rabites at level 99, just to see what the damage output would be.

This is especially true when the last enemies are level 50, when I distinctly remember them being closer to 70 (I think Terminator was level 69) in SoM... making the whole game feel shorter, as well.

And Mystic Ark was called 7th Saga 2 at E3 in (May?) 1995. Little did they know that a game called King Arthur would kill off Enix America Corporation two months later... and note that there was no Dragon Warrior game on display even at that time.

I saw the FAQ for Mystic Ark, and it isn't pretty. Let's go through Fairytale World, saving Red Riding Hood's grandma from the wolf (I'm not even kidding here), or Fruit World, through the Blueberry Forest! Ugh.
Our natural world is being replaced with too much concrete. I'm not comfortable living in a place where I don't see enough grass, trees, plants, etc. I seem to be the only one I know who thinks this is a really big issue. Maybe it is needed for our society to get by nowdays, but this is such a sad thing.
I have to agree with SD2 being generally better than SD3. Along with the points afore mentioned there was the exploration factor SD3 couldn't inherit from it's predecessor. What I mean is that with a field/dungeon you could go into a room then you could leave that room head down the hall and into another room that looks exactly the same as the first. In fact almost every room looked like a gross of other rooms in the game. With the increased level of art used in the game it just made it look like a lazy effort. The rooms, halls, and areas were short, small, and busy. And there were many dead ends and trapped rooms which required you to fight your way out.

Whereas in SD2 you had much larger areas with more complicated layouts and things like landmarks to identify your current location. One example of this is the road between Potos Village, The Kingdom of Pandora, The Water Palace, Neko's Shop, and the Canon Travel. The fact that you could go to five different destinations from a single area without any breaks, side roads, or otherwise doesn't happen very often in RPGs in general, and this happens a couple of times throughout the game. While I'll admit that the game is overall very liner it's not easy getting lost even the caves are more than the same two or three rooms connected by several copies of the same tunnel (even though I am exaggerating I'm not exaggerating by much). There are exceptions in SD2 as well of course namely in the desert and a few other areas but it doesn't happen often.

Anyway I think I've rambled on enough on this subject for one day so I'll leave it at that.

I like concrete!

But yeah, I lived in downtown Minneapolis for awhile, and it gets really depressing when the only green you see are those dwarf trees on sidewalks that are surrounded by rusty iron fences and small strips of sod planted in concrete platforms in front of buildings.
I was just wondering, where does WIP's name derive from?

Women in Property
Waste Implementation Programme?

I think it means Work in Progress though because that seems to describe her him well.
How heavy do you suppose Wilfred's helmet is?

It seems rather large...

I see tons of nature everywhere dude, and make sure the majority of my time is in it. I'm not sure where you're living.

It depends where you live. If you live in the city then there's hardly any green but I live in the suburbs where they are plentiful of grass. If you feel sad about the lack of greenery you should participate in conversation programmes where you get to plant trees and flowers. It may sound dull but it may help you in someway. Either that or move to the countryside! Moo!
I suppose I could have been more specific earlier about why I had to rant. I spent a lot of time in Cleveland and the nearby city of Lakewood a few months ago. For a while we were getting by without a car, so I had not gotten out a lot for a long time, at least not too far. So, I spoke out how I felt about being in that setting. Recently we moved to some apartments pretty far out in the countryside and I really love it. A couple weeks ago, some bulldozers and treecutters came and started to clear the wooded areas I lived within to make room for more apartments. There went that fantastic view I could see from my window.
It got me to think how fast everything is getting cleared out nowdays. Speaking for life in the USA at least, we are always constructing loads of things. It's easy to watch as nature diminishes.

Him is right when he pointed out how my need to live with more nature about me isn't consistent with conservationalism. Still I admit, I like living in this environment a lot better. TsimehC's suggestion to get involved in some conservation projects really might just be a good way of giving back.

What's the deal with the lampshade? Why are you trying to shade the light?

What's the deal with the orange peel? Who are they trying to keep out of there?
Oh Jerry Seinfeld, you make us all lol.
Why does Rational Software Architect have to be so damn bloated? Why doesn't the project I work on just use Eclipse (like normal people would)? RSA is a 7GB+ install. ugh.
Brandon has abandoned me! :(
This post totally isn't so he'll see it and IM me
