[RM2K3] QUESTION ABOUT THE RTP/DISTRIBUTING MY GAME

Hi! I'm sorry if this question is naive. : ) So my game is completed, and I have sent it to a few of my friends for beta testing. For two it worked instantly, but the other one had a lot of trouble getting it to run and as a last effort installed rpgmaker 2003, which made it work.

What I'm asking is, does rpgmaker have to be installed on player's computer, or does the player only need to install the RTP before running the game? The RTP did not work for one friend, and it wasn't relevant with the other two because they both already had rpgmaker installed.

To keep the folders neater, I deleted a lot of the premade graphics--is this causing problems and should I re-download those files?

Thank you for any help! I searched around for a while but wasn't able to find anything conclusive about this issue on my own.
In your game folder, there should be a file called RPG_RT.ini.
Open this in a text editor, and add the line FullPackageFlag=1 to it.
If you do this, the games should work even without RTP being installed, just keep in mind that your game project needs to have all files which is used, including system graphics and other stuff you might not think about, otherwise the game will crash once trying to open any of these resources.
You can add

FullPackageFlag=1
to your game's RPG_RT.ini file. This tells the game not to check for the RM2k3 RTP when it starts. If that line isn't there it'll assume it needs the RTP to play and complain when it isn't found. The editor itself isn't needed but afaik the English editor and RTP are bundled together so getting one includes the other.
