WHAT JOBS ARE YOU MADE FOR? - HOLLAND CODE QUIZ

Posts

Pages: 1
I remember taking that quiz in 9th and 10th grades.
You can take the test here: http://www.roguecc.edu/Counseling/HollandCodes/test.asp

Over a dozen years later the results have been more or less confirmed:

AIE

Realistic: 4 *lowest
Investigative: 8
Artistic: 10 *highest
Social: 5
Enterprising: 8
Conventional: 5

Suggested jobs: Game Writer/Developer, Screen Writer, Fiction Writer, etc.

Aside from the day job (unrelated, gotta pay the bills) I take commissions as an artist/pixel artist (and would ultimately like to do that only - currently making slow but steady steps towards that goal).

Have you ever taken that test before?
Was it accurate for you or not?
Do you believe you've found or taken the right career path?

Haha how apt.

Here's my results

Here's my recommended jobs:

To that I'll say WTF no, and pls go away test, I don't like you.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.
5958
is this the one that is just like "do you like to work with animals?" and if you check yes it suggests Animal Worker as a profession

because like... yeah okay that's not wrong it's just stupid

*checks*

yep this's the one

Apparently it's also the test that says you're highly sociable and not very artistic when the truth is probably the other way around. Also, apparently all sociable people should be dietitians, therapists and nurses. lol

So what do you do or plan on doing then?

I'm well aware that quizzes aren't always right. What is fun and interesting is to take it anyway and share the results and your thoughts on it.
If I recall correctly, when I took it in 9th grade one of the suggested jobs was antiquary. Hell no.

I'm studying software engineering (lolz) and it's a great job, yeah it's pretty OK I guess. I'm aware that tests get it wrong, I was just expressing my utter disgust at ever being any one of those jobs I don't even know why they'd recommend it to me it's just offensive and it makes me feel uncomfortable.
I understand the feeling. The suggestions are based on the codes and not your personal interests and aspirations, so there are definitely some results that feel horribly wrong.

Being interested in art and craft in general and history I can understand why antiquary was one of my past suggestions.
I'm just not that into it.
EDIT: ok wait, I just contradicted myself. Maybe that was a different test.
