THERE'S A VERY IMPORTANT CONFESSION I HAVE TO MAKE
Posts
Hello RMN,
There's a very important confession I have to make. Some of you will be more affected by this than others, though I hope that you will not be too offended by this and in fact I think most of you will be merely surprised. Although there may be a few exceptions. I have PM'd the moderation team regarding this matter previously, and we have sorted various things out, but the basis of it is that I broke the rules. CashmereCat is not my first account I have created. In fact, I have created three since I joined this site.
The accounts have been: thatbennyguy, CashmereCat and Loser.
I did not create these accounts for the intention of cross-promoting in any way, or tampering with any results. I merely adopted the name CashmereCat when I wished to move away from some aspects of the account thatbennyguy, and perhaps even some obligations. I regret to say that one of the reasons was that I was in a couple of team projects and I over-committed, and I wanted to be able to create something else without them knowing because I was becoming quite depressed. Eventually I told the team what happened and they were understanding. I do not remember exactly why I created the "Loser" account, but I proceeded to write reviews on that also, perhaps to a lesser extent.
This does not mean I do not acknowledge that my breach of the site's rules was wrong. The creation of multiple accounts on this site is still forbidden. I confessed to the moderation team my offense, wishing to own all punishment that that requires. I still await response from the RPGMakerWeb.com forums, where the same thing has occurred, except only with 2 accounts over there.
In short, the moderation team was very graceful enough to let me continue being a part of the community, to which I am very grateful. They say that I may continue to use the site as long as I stay restricted to the one account, which they let me choose, and I chose this account obviously - CashmereCat. I have made the most friends using this account, as I'm sure a lot of you know.
The other two - thatbennyguy and Loser - will be permabanned, and their submissions denied. As for the games and reviews and articles associated with thatbennyguy and Loser (there are actually quite a few), the moderation team gave me the choice to resubmit all reviews, games and articles as CashmereCat, which may explain a huge influx of reviews that are about to be approved. These are all old reviews, and the only thing that is lost is the comments appended to these reviews, of which I hope nobody is too affected by.
I apologize for the inconvenience that my actions may have caused, but I promise never to do it again, and I'd like to also confirm that every single person I have befriended on any of my accounts is still a friend in my eyes, just as completely.
I love this community and its individual members very much, and I thank you for the very constructive words you've said to me over the past. Hopefully this confession will only bring good instead of bad, and I promise that I will be pretty much nearly completely honest with you from now on. Maybe at least 50% of the time. :)
Yours truly,
CashmereCat

..and here I was about to congratulate you on submitting more reviews in a day than I have in a month.
Oh, well. I liked thatbennyguy and I like CashKitty I'm not sure I had much to do with Loser. Still I'm glad you came clean otherwise we would have lost you completely given the complete breach of the multiple accounts rule.
It's a shame you couldn't grab all the comments from those reviews and add them as a single comment at the bottom of each, that way no feedback would be lost.

author=nhubiI considered doing that... but then I saw the sheer amount of reviews and noped away. XD

Fresh slate I guess.
For the record, the only reason he didn't get banned for this is because he didn't use those other alts to misbehave in any way (trolling, flaming, pumping up his own games), came forward on his own and was willing to accept the punishment for his rule-breaking. (
His two other accounts are being permabanned, and everything on those accounts has now been denied.
The site rules are still the same - multiple accounts can lead to banning (unless you're kentona or the mighty Lord Aremen - may His name be forever praised) and we do not encourage anyone to test their luck on this.
There's something to be said for a clean slate.
I really don't know how you'd have the time for multiple accounts, and keeping up the separate conversations and commitments. Trust me when I say, one account is more than enough for me. I am glad in this instance that Kentona is somuch of a pushover forgiving. Given that Cash didn't commit any of the offences that people usually create duplicate accounts to perpetrate.

Sir Redd of Novus: He who made Prayer of the Faithless that one time, and that was pretty dang rad! :D

Woah, this is quite the revelation. The three different accounts had been active enough that I would never have never have guessed that they were the same person.
While I can't really say that I'm completely okay with it, I still feel like...
... this.

Well, if it's worth anything, I still think you're awesome.
... this.
I can deal with the revelation that you were Loser, because I always expected that to be somebodies alt account (I thought it was Kentona's, actually, since it was always praising him). But you're thatbennyguy?
I should add your alts to the Photometric page just to be a jerk
and then ill add my other account because im no better
EDIT: Yeah in all seriousness though, I would have been pretty pissed if you got banned. Especially since I was able to reverse my ban of 35 years for going on drunken rampages just by saying "Sorry Dad" to Kentona.

Wow, this is certainly unexpected. As big as a shock that this is, I think the important thing is that you came forth and were honest about everything. That was really brave and I'm glad you did ^_^
I understand completely. It's really easy to want to help everyone and to over-commit, and I have also had some of that depression over wanting to work on some projects more than others. It's really hard. ;_;
Yeah, I 100% think kentona made the right choice. Cash has enriched this community so much that it would be a crime to lose him and all he adds to the community.
Cash, this announcement certainly surprised me, but like you said, I think a lot of good will come from it. I'm very happy to have you as a part of the community, and this doesn't change that. Thank you for your honesty ^_^

Yes, the fact that he came clean makes us respect and even admire him even more now. =) Though I would like to know what will happen to benny's 'Interview' series.
All denied. If Cash wants to put them back up at a later date, he can, but for now, everything on those two alt accounts are 'gone'.
Huh! Well, I understand wanting to distance yourself from old projects, but it's no big deal, a lot of us have some like that. It certainly doesn't bug me too much, considering you weren't using the dupes to be an asshole. Good on you for coming forward, though (and probably the smart thing to do).
To new futures!
To new futures!
Thank you very much all of you. You're very kind to me (possibly too kind) but I feel great as this is probably the best outcome I could have imagined. I have learned my lesson and I will attempt to be 100% honest from now on. I was lucky enough to be given a clean slate by our very kind staff, and now it's only up from here. In a strange kind of way, I'm free now.
Yeah, that was quite awkward considering you were talking about me on Skype when I openly disagreed with your review about Wither. (I can't help but fanboy over that game, okay? ;)) But really though, even I know my unadulterated love for Wither is a little excessive. You're a great bloke. I'm so excited for our project ;)
I have saved all my submissions as .txt files in my computer. They won't go to waste, I'll probably resubmit them up here very shortly.
Speaking of which, we never did our interview, did we? I was going to finish Enelysion, but in all honesty, I never did. I only got up to the first half hour, but that's longer than I go for most games. (Seriously, I don't play games for very long. If I did, I'd probably have way more reviews here on this site.) I should probably man up and finish the game.
...
Here's to a fantastic community and here's to our future! May it be brighter than ever. *sheds single tear-shaped tear*

A bit unexpected, but, ultimately...
...yeah.

I was more shocked than anything!
But yeah, besides being a complete pushover, my biggest grief is duplicitous behaviour for the purpose of exploitation, harassment, or self-promotion. Which is why alts aren't allowed, because 95% of the time that's what they are used for.
Don't go thinking y'all can go and make alt accounts with impunity! The other thing that really gets my goat is confusion, and having to keep track of everyone's alts would confuse me greatly! so don't do it!
You know the one cat I do regret letting out of the bag? Name changes. Gah, it is too hard to remember who's who. AND EVERYONE AND THEIR CAT IS ASKING FOR ONE IT SEEMS. why can't everyone just go with their real name? it's what the cool kids do.
I wouldn't be able to invest heavily into any of my alts (yes, alts. try to guess which ones!) because...
the honest truth is I could never walk away from that much makerscore.
But enough about me. I think I will call you thatcashmereguy.

I'm comparatively new on here, so I never really got to interact with your alts, and so I suppose it doesn't affect me much. Then again, before I was on RMN, I was part of a certain forum with zero effective moderation and where I was seemingly the only person without an alt. account. Those were fun times.
