HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR CURRENT AVATAR AFFECTS YOUR MOOD?
Posts
I think there is some sort of psychiatric theory that the clothing you wear can affect your personality. Whether that's true or not, do any of you happen to notice a change of mood as you change your avatar?
I really don't know, but I feel like started the tendency to make posts that were just as impulsive, raving, and stupid as my tripped out Tails avatar.

Haha! I think I might have been more prone to silly comments when I had my Flonnezilla avatar, so maybe there's something to that XD
Yeah that avatar freaks me out.
Cashmere is a guise. I can pretend to be a cat.
Cashmere Cat is actually a famous producer, so don't call me original. But I like pretending I'm him and using his graphics.
The downside is, if I ever go commercial I'll have to change my name.
I don't know if it was the avatar or your mental situation, but during that phase I felt the sass was turned up to 11, the claws came out and they dripped of sarcasm and dry wit. But now you're nice and pure again. It's like you became a Bill Murray version of the Hulk everytime someone betrayed their asinine ignorance, hurling out deadpan sleights quicker than nhubi writes reviews.

Lately I've been using cutesy self-portraits~ Maybe that's been why I've been more comfortable using emoticons in my posts, and I think I've been a little more light-hearted in general, haha. I'm trying to get over my desire to be *witty* and sarcastic all the time. It gets old :P
Sometimes, especially with gam mak, I just wanna be happy and excited and passionate and I think having a silly cute avatar helps that!

I have often felt like this; that my avatar affects a bit the tone of my posts. But the avatar is a part of the choice how we wish to portray ourselves in this social environment, so we may have already chosen our approach when choosing the avatar itself.
And I am not saying I want to portray myself as a cute girl, but, uh, we pick things that we like for our avatars, and maybe we want to somehow communicate these things we like about them to everyone else.

Wow, I didn't realize! I had a lot going on then, so maybe my filter was turned off XD

Yeah it's really cute, I love your drawings. By the way, is that Skrillex?
Thank you ^_^)b
It's me! I got a haircut. I don't really look tooooo much like Skrillex, tho.

I definitely agree with this. I find it easier to be more light-hearted here than I can in real life, and I like having an avatar that reflects that side of me :P It's a mirror that looks into my truest deepest soul! Or something like that.
Yeah and I feel my avatar is sort of delicate and sincere. In real life I can come across pretty cheerful and offbeat. Maybe it's to balance that out.
I think your avatar definitely has an impact on your posts. When I used to have stupid or moody avatars I was more harsh and sarcastic, which is why I changed it.
Now my avatar just makes me happy, because Mrs Brisby is pretty cute. Hence the three hearts. I've reserved to only use waifus as avatars now to help keep my general mood in check.

If I would connect my avatar with my current mood, I could probably finagle it with the Okiku face-sets that are in my locker. Though, 90% of the time, I would probably use the neutral one.
*Edit: Unless I'm feeling particularly terrible, or just want to kill myself (either literally or figuratively).

The only mood that my current avatar represents at any given time is boredom and being tired of the previous avatar.
It is connected. Although I tend to change them only very rarely.
Clothing does too, although - as was pointed out already - your current mood also influences what you pick in the first place.

Ever since my old Godot link got broken I've been so embarrassed I can't show my face in public.
Whatever my avatar is doesn't really affect my posting. Rather its the other posters, and where I'm posting it.

My avatar makes me worry about the enemy. Also, it reminds me that Akihiko-senpai's in trouble!
