FULLSCREEN NO LONGER WORKS

So I recently got a program called ScreenBright from this site http://lifehacker.com/5985364/change-your-monitors-brightness-without-fiddling-with-its-buttons
This is the ONLY change from perfectly running RPG maker games to black screens with a weird little box that flickers in the top left corner. Assuming this is what caused the issue being the only change and that it somehow fucks with the scripts for RPG maker how exactly does one go about disabling it's effects? I've tried everything I know but sadly I cannot run any RPG maker games.
Again this has affected every version of RPG maker. It's been the only change. I run windows 7. Any ideas?
EDIT: I might need to calibrate my display again because I did update a driver, it happens automatically. However I'd have no idea how that would break RPG maker games playing on fullscreen.

Alright lock her down. I'm the biggest idiot in the history of idiots. I restarted my computer and it works now. It was the driver update. Well I had to restart twice because it required a calibration as well. Problem solved.
