[RMVX ACE] I WANT A FEW PEOPLE TO HELP MAKE A GAME FOR FREE.

I just recently got rpg maker vx ace, and I want to make a game. Problem is, i'm having trouble how to figure most of this out. I understand that making an entire game with a group can be somewhat difficult, and even making a game with someone who has very little idea what he is doing adds to that. But I would appreciate it if someone could help. If I could get a small group that can work together once or twice a week, that would be great. I already have a small idea of what the story could be, but I need a second (or third) opinion. Thanks for at least reading this and I hope that one of you want to work on a new project (however cliché the game might be) with me.
The basis of the game is that a cult is attempting to resurrect the demon king. The demon king's soul has been split into seven pieces and sealed away by the goddess in her temples. The goddess then splits her soul into seven pieces to guard each temple. One temple is located in your hometown, and in their search for the temple one of the cult shamans kill most of the people in your town. The hero then chases after the cult into the temple. After defeating the guardians within the temple the hero reaches the bottom where he then kills the cult shaman. Then the goddess appears to tell the hero what they are trying to do and pleads for his help. The hero then embarks on a journey to find each temple to stop the resurrection of the demon king. Cliche I know but it's something I would like to make.

I'm going to rip the band aid off here.
No one wants to make a game with you.
Learn how to use the program. Make a couple of crappy games. I mean they will be serious pieces of shit, but everything you do will either help you become better or cull you out of the community.
In my opinion, working with a group for your first project will rob you of the chance to upskill and learn many of the valuable skills needed to create a good, complete game. What I would recommend is to first complete a solo project before pursuing a team.
That said, this board requires that you must include as much information as someone who is creating a gamepage. At least 500 words describing the game in detail are required.

We've all got stories we want to tell. I recommend telling a shorter one for your first game. Make some maps, make some characters, figure out how to get battles to work, and learn as you go. This site has some great tutorials if you need help, and many of us are willing to answer any questions you may have. ^_^
After you know how to make a game, then you'll be better prepared to make the big story of the hero's journey :D

There's a certain thrill to making your first projects by yourself, stumbling around in the dark, copying things you saw in other RPG Maker games you enjoyed, and cobbling together a shoddy and ugly product. If you don't feel some sense of pride in that, then you won't be able to grow as a creator, regardless if you wanna just be a hobbyist or make some money.
There are so many resources out there now compared to 14 years ago in the RPG Maker 2000 era, you can practically learn things overnight now. Other skills, such as building maps, learning a project pipeline that works for you, and structuring your game's progression and story are things you'll have to learn through your own trial and error.
Do yourself a favor and follow the advice above. Don't work with a team. Anybody who would actually be willing to work with you is probably not going to help you in the long run.

I WANT A FEW PEOPLE TO HELP MAKE A GAME FORFREEwhatever they want in exchange.
I fixed that for you.
Do you like working for free?
I wish I could work with you, but I'm too busy. :'( Honestly, I wouldn't listen to most of these guys who say that no one will work with you if you're not paying. I'm sure if you look hard enough, there will be people willing to do stuff.
Still I think what unity said is somewhat true. You should explore RPG Maker a little bit before finding a team. My creativity lies in concepts rather than the actual handiwork, so
I find this really rude and unture. :( You really shouldn't have said that... at all...

You mean the one guy who said people won't work for free? Everybody else is arguing that the OP work alone because the experience gained by roughing it through the program yourself is invaluable. Which is true. Don't worry about diving into teams right now. That's a whole other experience waiting for you when you've become more confident in yourself.

I say it's "half true" in the sense that nobody is going to invest their time and/or effort into something that will not benefit them in any way, money or otherwise.
To the OP, you actually need to work to convince others that there WILL be a benefit to working on your game, and the excuse of "I don't know the program" doesn't cut it at all. If you aren't getting it, look online for tutorials or ask questions to see if we fellow devs can help you, but right now you are asking for the moon by our standards.

Actually, it's all very true. Some people MIGHT give you a hand with small things but like you pointed out when letting him down - you have your own project to attend to. And so does everyone else.
Also, first games are going to be shit. There's no way around it. Even the best game dev in the world will create a shit game the first time they try. But that is okay - it's not a bad thing because the next game will be better. And the next and the next and next and so forth. You build off the bad to learn how to be better - just like everyone else.
So go make a shit game or two.
Besides, when you team up with someone there's no guarantee they won't leave half way through the project and if you don't know some of their job you'll be left with half a project. Grind up your skills with the engine and instead of having to cancel, you can still complete it even if it wouldn't have been as great as with the other person -but guess what? After you finish it, you can refine it over and over, constantly learning better!
So, yeah, no-one is going to make your game for you. It's your game, your story, your passion.
How about you start making some individual things that help you understand how to use the maker?
Mapping:
1. Make a house that can be entered and exited
2. Make a town
3. Make a dungeon
Bonus: Make a bridge you can walk across or pass under.
Eventing:
1. Make an NPC who you can talk to.
2. Make a shop and an inn.
3. Make a boss fight.
Bonus: Make a block pushing puzzle.
Database:
1. Make your own actor.
2. Make a weapon that increases poison resistance and can poison on hit.
3. Make a boss that uses different moves as he's weakened.
Bonus: Make a skill that gets stronger the less health the user has.
Extra: Look for things in other games you want to recreate and do that.
Once you understand how to use the maker, start doing your game.
