HOW DO I PIXEL

Pixel art is so much fun but so time-consuming. XD I got into it around 2 weeks ago, so my knowledge on it isn't that great.
However, I will get this...eventually.
After going through a ton of tutorials. And practice. But for my project I should probably just use RPG Maker tilesets instead of trying to make my own for now.

...The filesize is ridiculously large.
I shall change that at a later date.

I'd also love to see everyone's art too~ X)
I'm not any good yet myself, but I'd say your off to a good start!

What's going on with the characters legs in the first link? (In the second and third row)

You're magical to me.

Love your art, Veynn! Looks lovely :D

The way you have the legs on the 2nd and 3rd row will make the character walk a little funny.

Edit:

Not only that but they are facing the wrong way.

Down, Left, Right, Up (This is the way it should be set up.)

Thanks!

Eheheh, and that is because I don't understand anatomy. XD
The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rows are placeholders until I can actually correct them.

Heheh, I ended up keeping them as placeholders anyway.
It looks really weird when I test out the animation, but it's better than nothing.
Also didn't know about how they should be down, left, etc.

Thank you so much!! :D :D
Your art is absolutely gorgeous!! Keep up the amazing work <3

Btw, I'm interested in Pixel Art myself, but I can't find the right program to draw it in...I was wondering what program you are using to draw yours? :)

Thanks, and once again, LOVE your art!

There are a few you could try:

iDraw is my favorite. It's very easy to use and has lots of neat functions but only allows 256 colors. Still, it's perfect for pixel art:

Besides MS Paint, you could also try PaintTool Sai or Gimp.
I use Photoshop for digital art but I don't recommend it for pixel art.

Waaah, thank you!! 0///0
I haven't been here for quite some time due to computer issues; I'm surprised people still comment on this.

I...kinda decided to take a different approach as pixel art didn't suit the tone of the game (that, and it's too difficult for me). I just do everything in a parralx style now:

Also drew different sprites for the demo.

I use Photoshop CS5 for everything. Good luck; you can do it!!! :D

No prob, and thank you~! ^_^

((Did you draw your icon? It's really cute))

I don't use MS Paint and GIMP. Instead, I use Photoshop CS5 for drawings, sprites, animations, etc. It's pretty useful.

Thank you so much :D

Awww, thank you!!

I...kinda gave up on pixel art as, I've changed the game's artstyle. ^^;
It's easier for me to just draw the backgrounds without worrying about tilesets and such.

But that tutorial looks super helpful; definitely going to help with future projects :>
