Hello, We are two HKU Game & Interaction students who are making a Role-Playing Game. Now we would like to know who you are, the player. Are you a fanatic RPG Gamer or do you just occasionally enjoy playing it, we want to know it all. This way, we can make our game as targeted as possible. It will take about 3 to 5 minutes of your time.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

"What must a RPG game have to be considered fun in your opinion?"
Open-ended text box allows space for me to write about 5 words
Jesus Christ, you want me to list every aspect of video games that is enjoyable and explain all of it? OK, for starters, read every topic in this entire subforum, start to finish. Because that's what we talk about here. We've spent the last decade writing tens of thousands of pages about what games need to be fun.

I don't really understand how polling this data will help you desgin the best RPG ever, but it would certainly help you create a derivative, inoffensive, and agreeable one by looking at games through the lens of market analysis and profit margins.
People here prefer to think of game design more in the philosophy of how mechanics come together in an innovative, balanced way, and how this constitutes good entertainment. You might get better information by opening a dialogue here instead of sending us to a soulless pollster machine, hope this helps!

I like this funny epic trailer that you guys did for moving into... your new office? Not sure.
Also you're right, it is a prime location being next to Dominos.

Right from the start, I find this survey very triggering. I identify as a cake, not some filthy man or female.

I was expecting something to happen in the video lol!!
I answered to your poll. I hope it helps. Good luck on your quest to make an RPG.
Hmm... I think just going to the internet and saying: "Give me your opinion on subject X" isn't the best idea to look for new ideas because you are going to get a TON of ideas which might be difficult if not impossible to compare and choose the best ones. You need something to manage and regulate the incoming data and a poll like this might be very good option.

There is no perfect game, there are only perfect games.

I don't really like polls in this situation because they are far better at pulling statistical data than anything else. Polling surveys are the kinds of things most people associate with the end of purchasing a new product or working with a customer service rep. They're impersonal and have a rap for being that thing you want to get through as quickly as possible to get back to whatever you were doing before.
If they want to 'chance' getting any meaningful input data via this method, then that is certainly their right. I wish LeonardEilander and Sons the best. I hope you can create your best RPG ever .

"DESGIN"
author=LightningLord2If you discovered you had a dominoes pizza next to your games hut, would you ever leave it? Tim and Leonard wouldn't, and if this thread is any indication, they haven't.
I have a feeling they won't return to talk to people here...
e: Do I at least get a complimentary pizza slice for completing the survey? That's time I'll never get back. Please send it via express mail to Korea because when you open a Dominoes pizza box from here it's like opening a mimic chest in Dark Souls!!
